She's All That has received the reboot treatment! TikTok star Addison Rae and Cobra Kai’s Tanner Buchanan have teamed up to share top billing in a gender-swapped remake of the classic teen movie, aptly titled He's All That. And while Rae may be a professional acting newbie, the movie's got plenty of impressive pedigree: It's helmed by Mean Girls director MarkWaters and, of course, boasts one of the most iconic '90s teen rom-coms as its source material. (She's All That, in turn, was based loosely on the classic story of Pygmalion)

"It holds true to the original story," Buchanan previously told PEOPLE about the He's All That premise—but, he added, "updated in a way that feels current ... cell phones and social media are pretty integral parts of our lives now!"

Here's everything you need to know about He's All That, including the cast, trailer, release date and how to watch.

Who is He's All That actress Addison Rae?

Viewers might recognize Rae from TikTok, where she boasts over 82 million followers. "I got into TikTok because my friends from school and dance were obsessed with it. They were constantly playing all the sounds from it, doing all the trends, and making all these videos. One day after being in the background of my friends videos, I wanted to try it out. Instantly, I became addicted," she admitted to Forbes in 2020.

Rae has attributed her rapid social media growth to one thing: consistency. "I am always really active. Daily, I post three to five pieces of content on each platform. People notice how often I post, how much I interact with them, and people really like that," she's said.

He's All That marks Rae's onscreen acting debut. “When I got the role, I was crying in the car hysterically and really just excited to show the world more of what I love to do and continue chasing the dreams that I’ve had since I was a little girl," she told Variety in 2021.

Rae noted in an interview with ELLE that she has to work hard to be taken seriously. “In this industry, when you come in and get labeled as one thing... people like to keep you there. Which is understandable, and I get it, but what people don’t realize is I’ve always wanted to do acting, I’ve always wanted to do music. I’ve always wanted to do all these other things that they didn’t really get to see or know, because I just started being known when I was 19 years old," she said. "People haven’t really seen the background, or the classes I used to take and things like that. So I try to tell myself, ‘You have to work that much harder to get people to take you seriously.’”
