It was great to celebrate our Davis UWC Scholars over lunch today.

Regina Aguirre Castaneda (from Mexico) - United World College of the Adriatic in Italy;
Teresa Esteve Monzo - Mahindra United World College of India;
Samar Jeet Panda (from India)- United World College of the Atlantic in Wales;
Patricia Beatus Segeja (from Tanzania) - United World College of Southeast Asia - East Campus;
Leena Mangaldas (from India) - UWC of the Atlantic Llantwit Major, UK;
Romulo Romero Sanchez (from El Salvador) - UWC Pune India;
Nina Serrano (from Tlalpan, Mexico City) - UWC of the Adriatic Duino, Italy;
Julia Szozda (from Birmingham, UK) - UWC Montezuma New Mexico

Before coming to the United States, UWC Scholars were chosen by special, independent committees in their home countries to complete the last two years of high school at one of the United World College schools. UWC schools are located in Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Swaziland, Tanzania, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States. The UWC movement works to build multinational, cross-cultural communication and understanding among all its students.
Davis UWC Scholars arrive at American colleges and universities with outstanding academic abilities, as well as a proven capacity to build relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds. @davisuwcscholars believe that fostering personal relationships between students who are different from one another will build an effective network of future leaders committed to mutual respect.
