My overall high school experience has been amazing! The teachers are so nice and everyone is so kind to each other. Making friends is very easy and everyone is different. I started going to South Broward High School during 2020 quarantine and being online wasn't that bad. I still made friends and the teachers are always encouraging you to be better. The only bad part about being online is you can't go to school in person to get the full experience but, that didn't stop me from having fun. The teachers supplies every student with tools to succeed and this school really cares about It's students. I love this school so much and the faculties are so sweet. I always conversate with them any time I get a chance to. The food at this school is alright but, I prefer the restaurants next to the school. My overall rating of this school would be an 8/10!
I really enjoyed the enrollment the administration had with its students and their constant effort for growth within the school. They worked to make students feel safe, informed, and comfortable when coming to school. Sports and school spirit was able to encourage students to participate and be more involved in the school and with other students. The environment was very inclusive and has accommodations were based based on students person needs. I think some of the given guidance counselors need to be more informed and helpful when it comes to student needs and preparing them for college or life after high school. I really enjoyed my time at South Broward and the opportunities they provided for students such as: Cambridge Program, ICAN Program, Marine Magnet, and Dual Enrollment. It allows students to thrive before and after graduating and gives them opportunities to go beyond just high school courses during their time at South Broward.
As a student at South Broward High School, I've had a mixed experience. On the bright side, the school's diversity has exposed me to different cultures and perspectives, enriching my learning experience. I've also appreciated the academic opportunities, like advanced placement courses, that have challenged me to excel.
However, there are areas for improvement. The school's resources sometimes feel limited, impacting extracurricular activities and support services. Additionally, the facilities could use some upgrades to provide a better learning environment.
Overall, I'd like to see more focus on equity and inclusion, ensuring that all students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed. With some changes, South Broward High School could provide an even better experience for its students.
