Excellent 2019 Godzilla figure, with improvements from the 2014 version.
This is yet another great Godzilla figure from NECA. It is the "12 Inch head to tail Godzilla 2019", and basically the name means that it is about a foot long, and isn't saying that it is a foot tall. It's basically the same mold as the 2014 NECA figure, but this one has some improvements that they made to Godzilla from the movie for example his Dorsal Spines are larger, and are made to look more like Godzilla's classic Maple Leaf spines. His toes are bigger and a bit more defined due to fan complaints that the 2014 Godzilla just had stump feet, his eyes are blue now instead of yellow, and his tail ends in a knob like the classic Godzillas.There is a lot of articulation all over the body so you can make him do various poses, and a big improvement over the 2014 NECA figure (in my opinion.) is that each section of the tail is its own separate piece, instead of a couple sections, and then a final big rubberish section that you have to bend into the desired shape which is what NECA used on a lot of their previous figures.I would definitely recommend this to any Godzilla fan, my only problem with it is that sometimes the tail on my figure pops off, but it's easy to put back on so no worries.

This figure besides, looking different from NECA 2014 figure it is a little bit taller because of the fin change and more grey while the 2014 figure skews closer to black. The end of the tails on the two figures is also different. The 2019 figure's tail stays thicker to the end.
A solid, well built, well skulpted figure with more than enough articulation

I really love these NECA figures. Almost the same articulation as the (IMO) overly articulated S.H.Monsterarts figures but for a lower price and a much more sturdy construction. The sculpt and overall look is excellentReviewed in the United States on June 14, 2019

Item arrived on the date promised. Solid and well built with great attention to detail. At about 6 inches tall, it's an ideal size for the purchase price. No regrets here

When I saw that NECA had another version based off the 2019 King of Monsters design, with a refined head and bigger spines more like the original Japanese design for GodIlla, I knew I had to get this! It did not disappoint.
While I had trouble putting the tail on the original version, the new one came with instructions to run the ball in the tail under hot water for 20 seconds. I did so and the tail installed without too much trouble.
For comparison, I’ve included a photo of the earlier NECA Godzilla (the photo with the disco ball) to compare to the new 2019 model. The new one has a softer plastic for the tip of the tail, which actually makes the tail more flexible and posable. The head is a little smaller on this version, so the jaws don’t open quite as much as the previous one. The two are roughly the same size, so they aren’t necessarily in scale to each other for those concerned about that (the 2019 Godzilla is supposed to be larger than the 2014 one), which explains the slimmer head. The body is also a little leaner and the sail/spines are longer and indeed more like the Japanese Godzillas. The joints seem a little less stiff than the previous model, so it is more posable.
It’s a really nice sculpt and impressive model. Worth it!
