- The King Without a Crown (1937) [Dying Duchess Marie]: Persumably dies of natural causes. (I haven't seen this short film myself, but the IMDB's indentification of her role suggests her fate).
- The Grapes of Wrath (1940) [Grandma Joad]: Dies (off-screen) of natural causes while traveling with her family; her body is shown afterwards as Jane Darwell cradles her in her arms. (Jane acts as if Zeffie is still alive and in need of medical attention, in order to persuade a policeman to let them go on their way).
