Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This eternal flame is nice to visit shortly. It stands for everyone without making choices in ethnicity. It is a flame for everyone...

We stumbled upon the eternal flame as we wandered out of the old town (Ottoman Empire) into what seemed like the Austro-Hungarian/ Yugoslavia part of Sarajevo. Not much to see but the reason behind it makes it worth a visit and picture. Lest we forget.

Located at the end or beginning of Ferhadija, (pedestrianised shopping street), depending which way you approach it, is this memorial, dedicated to people who lost there live during the four occupation by Nazi Germany. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.

The eternal flame is a great place to start your walking tour of the old city. I would of liked to get up close to the flame and read what is written on the wall, but when I was there a group of people where huddle around the flame for warmth in the winter. Be safe around the flame as there is no barrier near the flame so you can go right up and touch it if you want.

A monument to the victims of the Second World War in Sarajevo. It is a good place to start a walking tour through Ferhadija street and Bascarsija.

This important, yet understated monument stands at a major crossroads within the pedestrianised part of the town to commemorate the fallen during WW2. Worth a look to pay your respects when wandering around the coffee houses, restaurants and shops, as the important symbol of the history that it represents.
