That's that! SRH BEAT DC by 88 RUNS!This was just clinical from SRH, and very well-deserved too. After setting DC 220 to win and with those quick wickets upfront, they had positioned themselves really well in the game. It was the first time all season that DC have been bowled out!Rashid's two-wicket over really hurt them given that Hetmyer and Rahane were just beginning to get a partnership going. With Shreyas Iyer and Pant failing to get going too, they never really recovered from those early losses. How good was Rashid Khan with his 3-7?!!

The massive win will not just boost SRH's NRR, but also keeps their playoff hopes alive, who have now climbed to sixth, going ahead of RR with a better run rate. It's been a fabulous birthday for David Warner, who turned 34 today. This win from SRH was nothing short of clinical and they deserved every bit of it! A win in this game could've all but sealed DC's spot in the playoffs. They've already slipped to third spot with a NRR lower than RCB's at the moment. They're up against MI next before their last game against RCB. They desperately need one win out of those two games.

Hope you enjoyed this clash today. Thank you for your company. Do join us tomorrow when MI and RCB face-off! See you later!

Good striking from Deshpande. But the ones that had to do the job today, have not stood up. .

One short of perfect 10

R Ashwin looking to go the distance only ends up holing out to the fielder at deep mid wicket.125/9

Strike 8

Rishabh Pant, who was waging a lone battle in vain, too falls, chasing a delivery wide outside off. 103/8

Rabada falls

Even though it was just a customary effort to keep Delhi Capitals close down on the final run-margin, with the Net Run Rate in mind, Kagiso Rabada and Rishabh Pant had added 20 runs before the former was cleaned up by T Natarajan. 103/7

100 up for DC

DC are slipping fast. Axar holes out and Rashid has his third. These are his best figures 3-7 - he's bowled 17 dots!! Wow! What an asset he is for SRH.

Oh, dear... Looks like Shankar has done his hamstring. Physio comes into the middle. He's limping off...after 1.5 overs.

Vijay Shankar strikes! Skipper Iyer departs for 7.He was forced into that shot really... A top-edge and Williamson makes no mistake wide of mid-off.

Pragyan Ojha

And just like that Rashid has two wickets in the over!! Rahane trapped leg before for 26. SRH are on top! This is outstanding bowling from them. It was the googly that was delivered stump-to-stump and Rahane fails to read it! The man's doing it again. He's a genius.

AND OUT! Rashid strikes with his first delivery.Hetmyer has to go after the stumps were knocked over. A flat ball that goes on straight to rattle the poles.

50 up for DC. This sixth over from Holder has gone for 20 runs! DC end the powerplay at 54/2.

Hetmyer in next...

The move works brilliantly! Stoinis drives straight to Warner at mid-off once again. The move for DC doesn't pay off. They're in trouble at 14/2 in two overs.

SRH introduce spin in the second over with Nadeem.

Stoinis in at #3!DC need him to do what he's done a fair few times in the season. Gets away with a boundary immediately.

GOLDEN DUCK FOR DHAWAN!Doesn't get hold of it at all.. tries to flick it, but gets a leading edge straight to Warner at mid off.

Sandeep Sharma will start proceedings against Rahane and Dhawan.

We're back for the chase here in Dubai. Oh, looks like Sreevats Goswami is taking the gloves instead of Saha.Hope nothing serious... the physios did come out during his innings to have a look at him. We'll keep you posted.

SRH FINISH WITH 219/2: DC have done really well to pull things back, even if a tad bit. The way Saha went on after Warner did what he does best, Pandey took it up from there to ensure SRH finished in excess of 200. Only 44 runs came off the last five overs. At one point it seemed like SRH would get close to 230-240. That said, this even is a brilliant score and DC will have to work hard and well to chase this down. Rabada had a rare off day conceding 54 in four, going wicketless after 26 T20s!!Nortje was among the wickets once again, but most bowlers were taken to the cleaners. Can DC chase this down?

200 up for SRH - the fastest in this edition of the IPL! It's just the 18th over.

SRH

SAHA OUT FOR 87 off 45!An excellent innings comes to an end. He carried on unperturbed after Warner fell and has set the platform for the rest of the line-up to get a strong total up on the board. SRH are 170/2 in the 15th over.Nortje delivers once again for DC. A mishit off a length delivery headed straight to mid off.

Abhilash Jha

150 up for SRH - it's just the 13th over! How many do you think they'll get from here?

STAT ALERT:First 50-plus score for Saha for SRH in 17 innings!!

Narbavi
Narbavi@ Narbavi

FIFTY FOR SAHA!Gets there in style pulling a length ball to the boundary. He's been excellent from the start. Perfect foil for Warner... but been just as good.Gets there off 27 balls.

Parth Shah

SRH

A little more loop and the slower ball gets Warner.Holes out to Axar Patel for an easy catch at extra cover. Warner falls for 66 off 33.The partnership of 107 has been broken. Ashwin gets his man after being hit straight back for a boundary the ball before.

100 up for SRH

The roles have reversed, then. WARNER gets to a FIFTY off just 25 balls and SRH finish the PP with 77 for 0 - the highest this season.Rabada's last over went for... 22!! Let that sink in.

50 runs for the opening wicketbetween Saha and Warner. It's come in just 28 balls.

Is Warner going to play anchor while Saha explodes? Sure seems like it in the three overs.

Warner is in the middle with Saha. Nortje will start for DC.

We're minutes away from start of play

TOSS: DC win toss, opt to bowl. They're unchanged. SRH have made 3 changes! Williamson in for Bairstow, Saha comes in as does Nadeem. Garg and Khaleel make way.

Teams:

Delhi Capitals: Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tushar Deshpande

Sunrisers Hyderabad:David Warner(c), Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Wriddhiman Saha(w), Jason Holder, Shahbaz Nadeem, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan

Pitch report:Chase, chase, chase, says Kumar Sangakkara. It's a very dry wicket...

Just ten league games are left in the IPL this year and as it rarely has happened in the past seasons, no team has sealed their spot in the playoffs as yet. So tight has this year's competition been that teams are just within touching distance of each other as the race for the final four has picked up. Only the fate of the Chennai Super Kings is sealed as they stand eliminated, while the others all have an outside chance of making the final four. We could potentially and mathematically have a situation where five teams get locked on 16 points with the eventual top four coming down to just NRR that separates them. Maybe things will get a tad clearer after this game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.

Hello and welcome to Match 47 of the Indian Premier League. DC had a good run in the first-half of the league, but have stumbled into a few roadblocks since then. A win today would all but seal their berth in the top four. For SRH, a loss today would mean elimination. Why they find themselves in a spot like this is owing to their inability to finish games that they were in control of, now leaving their fate to the other results even if they go on to win their remaining games. They threw away a winning game against KXIP after having been in control of it for 30 overs, failing to chase down even just 127. They'll want to, however, put that behind them and start afresh today on skipper David Warner's birthday, who turned 34.

It's not going to be an easy run for SRH here on, who have their remainder of games against the top three teams this year. Can they be the giant-killers to find a way to sneak into the top 4? For that to happen, their wins, mind you, will have to be pretty comprehensive ones to boost that NRR of theirs, f it comes down to that. They are currently penultimate on the table with just 8 points.
