Astro NJOI Now, free access on Mobile & Online – Full Content List

Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad (Astro) on Thursday launched a NJOI Now, available on mobile and online to provide Malaysians with free access to on demand entertainment including box sets, live sports and news.

At the moment, NJOI Now offers access to 18 free channels and about 15 free Video-on-Demand (VOD) contents.

Some of the channels include Astro Prima, Astro Maya HD, Astro Oasis, Astro AEC, Astro Vaanavil, Astro Arena, Astro Awani as well as exam tutorials on Astro Tutor TV. Malaysians could also watch Malay drama hits like Suri Hati Mr Pilot, Isteri Tuan Ihsan, Lara Aishah; popular variety programme, Meja Bulat Sepahtu; Chinese epic drama, The Legend of Mi Yue, and Tamil travelogue, KL To KaraKaidu, where the content list will be refreshed monthly.

As for premium contents, NJOI Now offers prepaid options for instant access to additional channels and titles, including Astro WARNA, Astro RIA, Astro Wah Lai Toi, Hua Hee Dai, latest movies on Astro First and Astro Best, and many more from the on demand section. Users can also create their own watch list, enjoy HD content and get more content via NJOI Now’s existing ‘pay as you use’ prepaid – allowing users to buy only the content they want via NJOI Prepaid.

Existing Njoi Decoder users may link their account to NJOI Now however Astro said that certain channels and content on NJOI decoder are not available on NJOI Now. “It may be necessary to black-out viewing of certain content where such content is not available for OTT viewing,” it said on its website.

For PC access (NJOI Now website), users need at least 4GB of RAM, Windows 8 and above as well as on Mac OS X Mavericks. NJOI Now will be supported on browser such as Apple Safari, Google Chrome (version 53 and above) and Mozilla Firefox 32-bit (version 49 and above) with Internet speeds of 5Mbps and above. Users will also need to install the NJOI Now video player browser plug-in to view the contents.

The NJOI Now mobile app works on iOS 9 & above, Android 4.4 & above. It can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Similar to the Astro Go mobile app, users on the NJOI Now app can download selected content via WiFi or mobile network, and watch the content offline later without requiring an Internet connection.
