Beautiful and soft melodies of piano and vocals filled with dark intense imagery and backed with rock guitar and drums, and the unthinkable idea of decent synthesizers!
"Into My Heart" begins with a very delicate and classically beautiful piano and drifts rock style into an intense obsessive lyric sung delicately and innocently. "Ghost In The Room" is a nice twist on the familar style of the soft catchy pop rock song with lyrics of regret.
The whole album is just filled to the brim with decadently dark and hauntingly beautiful music that perfectly combines rock and classical to produce something that sears right through to the soul. It's the best album I've bought this year.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Very nice- nothing challenging/interesting about it - it all sounds very good and every now and again it glimmers with a little bit of something worthwhile but never vears away from decent background music. Its neither accompanied with a grand orhcestral sound, nor a more modern dance sound, nor is it quite the cenfessional singer songwriter style.
Never really reveals itself - although all the right ingredients appear to be there. Its the only one i own so dont know if she has better work out there - but also depends on your tastes - do not take heed of the Tori and Alanis comparison. They are both a lot edfier in their approach and delivery of music.

Heard about Rachel Fuller from reading Pete Townsend’s biography. Curiosity led me to buy this CD. Well worth the purchase. Each tune is a pleasure.

Wish we had more music with this much depth and scope in popular music today
Reviewed in the United States on 1 March 2017
I wish Rachel Fuller had not become domestically comfortable and would make more records. I was astounded when I heard this record some 13 years after it was made. She is much more interesting than you would think. She is not just some rock star's girlfriend. There is a lot to her writing, her playing, her arranging. This record blew me away. In a way I can see why she isn't making records in this climate of auto tuned faces that look good and sing cookie cutter songs that are so cliche my niece could have written them when she was 11 (thirteen years ago). The other alternative is women who can sing their butts off who sing songs that are so shallow it makes them look as if they are on the same level as Taylor Swift (who is helpless without pitch correction and won't admit it) or Miley Cyrus (so shallow they would be out of their depth in a parking lot puddle). Rachel Fuller is on the level with clever writers from the past like Kate Bush, Sandy Denny, Linda Thompson, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King who knew how to craft a lyric in their own individual way. Wish we had more like her today.

Mrs Pete Townshend hat Talent ohne Ende
Reviewed in Germany on 1 March 2013

No filler on this fuller CD!
Reviewed in the United States on 10 October 2005
While it is a very nice CD that loaded without problems onto itunes on my mac, i experienced some problems (i.e. it would not play at all) one one of my home CD players (a philips CD recorder!) and this is the first time i have encountered this kind of problem. Otherwise it is a spledid CD; as another reviewer wrote she had already provided vocals to a spectacular CD by Delerium that I also recommend. It is also an indipensable recorde for those sad Townshend/Who completists to which i slowls belong.
