I recently Graduated May 2024! Woohoo! My experience here at DH has been great! I wish I could do my Grad program here too. I highly recommend new students to attend here, they will love it. The staff is so supportive, during my whole time here I truly enjoyed it and never felt alone. Go Toros!
It is a small campus, which gives it its charm, and it is easier to take classes back to back because it doesn't take too much effort to walk across campus. It is an amazing campus that offers a variety of clubs and resources, however, they could do better on extending those resources; for example the inconsistency of hours in the coffee shops on campus or the fact that the women's resource office is separate from any of the other clubs. They are trying to improve the campus by expanding, however the older and established builds shouldn't be overlooked in maintenance due to the focus on the newer buildings.
I've lived in the city of Carson for most of my life so I am fairly familiar with the area. However, I have never been on the CSUDH campus before. Coming to this school was like coming to a whole new world. I have enjoyed my time here so far very much. I feel like I am getting my proper education while feeling comfortable. I had one incident recently that effected these feelings in a negative way however, I still feel like this is the school I am supposed to be at.
