It's always fascinating how some fans get so worked up about non-existent remixes, or supposedly better remixes, or better live versions, or or or....
Or that the "1984" album is missing, although they should know that this always has something to do with the film rights. And the film industry is even more cruel than the music business. In general, this is forgotten in the numerous reviews when people complain at a high level. Instead, we get a very high-quality box set with numerous bonus tracks and a fantastic layout. The format of the box is also well chosen. Sound-wise, the box is on a top level. My favourites are "In the garden" and "Sweet Dreams". The other albums were too "poppy" and too commercial for me, although on a high level, which is also due to Annie's voice and Dave's arrangements. All in all, you get a lot of music for very little money.

Just as their 2005 "Ultimate Collection" wasn't "ultimate", neither was this entirely "boxed". "1984 (For The Love Of Big Brother)" remained conspicuously missing from this lot - and that's only the tip of the iceberg of missing and missed opportunities in the curating of this particular boxed edition; for the 8 albums that make Eurythmics' official RCA/BMG catalogue, there's quite a bit of chronological inconsistency music wise here, adding to it the visual hodgepodge of photographic/textual overdone-ness - against which, the only originally preserved segment that is the front cover, feels out of place. The bonus material here suffers in the saddest "something for everyone" fashion - DnA's 1981-83 era remains especially rich with the duo's original non-album material (b-sides, live and radio session recordings) that were well worth the documentation. Instead, only slightly does such bonus material shine throughout the fog of filler extended a-sides, occasionally chronologically misplaced live and/or remix material (the dreadful Coldcut and Giorgio Moroder remixes) and mostly mediocre cover versions that were leftovers with a reason.

They are all in nice digipacks not jewel cases - though editors seem to argue about describing them as such !
Shame they put crappy live versions of songs rather than some of the wealth of b sides and remixes in the back catalogue never on CD.
