    Dr. Danskey comes to the Arcadia Learning Community with 13 years of experience in high school administration.  Prior to joining the Scottsdale Unified School District, Dr. Danskey worked in St. Louis, Missouri and Hillsboro, Oregon.  She has a bachelor’s degree in history, a master’s degree in secondary education, and completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Portland.  Dr. Danskey played competitive roller derby in Portland, Oregon, and enjoys salsa dancing and quilting.  As an instructional leader, Dr. Danskey works to support students, staff, and families to ensure that students reach their full potential and are prepared for careers in a rapidly changing world.

    Mrs. Barrie Muzbeck Pinto comes to SUSD as the Assistant Principal for Educational Services after serving for 25+ years as a middle school teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Elementary Principal in public, charter and private schools in the Phoenix metropolitan area as well as in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Barrie is thrilled to join such a welcoming community and is looking forward to joining a team of educators that support each other and strive to motivate students to be fully engaged every day in every class. Barrie grew up in Michigan and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Education from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. She obtained her Certificate of International School Leadership while living in Brazil. Barrie competed as a Team USA gymnast and was a student-athlete at Ohio State University. High school is a time where students are faced with many changes, challenges and choices and Barrie is ready and prepared to partner with them and their families to ensure high school is as positive and productive as possible. She looks forward to a successful school year and celebrating the growth and achievements of all Arcadia students.

    Steve Sherren has worked in education for the last 20 years, serving in many roles, including teacher, coach, athletic director, and assistant principal. Steve majored in Exercise and Sports Science, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Arts in Teaching from Oregon State University. He has a passion for education and believes there are many aspects of the school community that are influenced by the values and beliefs of school leaders. Steve looks forward to working collaboratively within the Arcadia School community to develop practices that promote growth and learning for all students.

    This office oversees: Student Activities / Testing / Grade Level Administrator: 9th & 10th (Freshman & Sophomores)

    Dr. Johnson accepted the role of Assistant Principal of Student Services at Arcadia High School in 2019. Prior to joining the Arcadia team, she served as the Director of Academic Programs at BASIS Scottsdale, where she oversaw curriculum, testing, and student records.  Before joining leadership, Dr. Johnson taught English for four years in grades 7-12—with her biggest contribution being the development of advanced curriculum and design for Creative Writing and African American Literature courses at DePaul Catholic High School. Dr. Johnson triple-majored in Secondary Education, English Literature, and Anthropology at William Paterson University and holds an M.Ed in Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University. She is thrilled to take on a broader role in the lives of students and is looking forward to helping to build and sustain a culture of support and excellence at Arcadia High School.
