The 'Game of Thrones' community has lost one of its most prominent members after a long illness. Actor Ian Gelder, known for his role as Kevan Lannister in the fiction based on the books by George R.R.Martin, has died at the age of 74.
Quickly the signs of affection and support for his relatives have not taken long to appear in networks.
Ben Daniels, his partner since 1993, has been who has reported the death of the interpreter through an emotional statement on his official Instagram profile. In it, he has lamented the loss, caused due to bile duct cancer of which Ian Gelder was diagnosed last December.

"I had given up all work to be his caregiver, but neither of us had any idea it would all be so fast. He was my absolute rock and we had been partners for over 30 years. If we weren't together, we talked to each other every day. He was the kindest, most generous and loving human being. He was a wonderful actor and everyone who worked with him was touched by his heart and light," wrote long-term partner, and fellow actor, Daniels.
"Honestly, I don't know what I will do without him by my side. He dealt with his terrible illness so bravely, without self-pity. Ever. He was extraordinary and will be greatly missed," adds Gelder's partner, who says a fond farewell, 'Rest in peace my sweet Chianni.'
Gelder became popular thanks to the HBO series, in which he first appeared in 2011.
After a brief stint, he returned in the fifth and sixth seasons, in which he remained as Kevan Lannister.
One of his last works was in 'Doctor Who', appearing in the episode titled 'Can you hear me?'.
