Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, or Kenny G, as he is known worldwide, is an extremely renowned smooth jazz saxophonist. He is originally from Seattle in Washington, USA.
Kenny G has earned enormous success and fame during the course of his career, and continues to tour today, selling his tickets in the millions. He is the biggest selling instrumental musician of modern day and is one of the best selling artists of all time, in fact. His global sales figures are out of this world, approximating 75 million.
Born 5 June 1956, Kenny G was musical from a young age. He started playing the saxophone at the tender age of ten and he played professionally during high school and throughout college. He played with two bands after graduating before going solo. In 1982 Kenny G signed with Arista Records as a solo artist after impressing the label with his version of ABBA classic ‘Dancing Queen’. During this time he released several solo albums and also collaborated with a number of extremely high profile artists such as Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin: some true musical legends. His second and third solo albums were made platinum and he enjoyed extremely early success.
His sixth studio album, ‘Breathless’, became the number one best selling instrumental album ever, with over 15 million copies sold worldwide. He continued to break records over the course of his career: his holiday album ‘Miracles’ became the most successful Christmas album ever when it sold over 13 million copies. He is also noted for breaking records with his incredible saxophonist skills: he entered the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest note ever recorded on a saxophone. The note was held for an incredible 45 minutes using a very specific breathing technique. The feat catapulted the saxophonist into world stardom.

There is nothing quite as soothing as a Kenny G performance. The delightful timbre of his saxophone is a luxury to the ears.
Kenny G can play in the smoothest scales possible and sustain a note in long duration with great musical endurance. In fact he was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest note ever recorded on a saxophone. There is no doubt that Kenny G is regarded as one of the best regarded smooth jazz musician, having started his career playing saxophone with the talented heart-throb, Barry White, who sang with one of the most soulful voices. Kenny G often tours with a backing band that enhances the performance with sounds of shimmering synthesizers, subtle drumming, and rhythmic bass playing.
Kenny G has an immediate defining sound. His saxophone playing has the smoothest tone and often has a resonance of reverb attached to it. His solos are fast, but are accomplished with great delicacy in order to retain the smooth vibe of his performance. His stage presence is also captivating. He comes onto stage with a suave suit and his curly, locks of hair swoosh through the air during his intense saxophone solos. He has also been well respected by many musicians that have asked him to collaborate with them such as Frank Sinatra, Weezer, Toni Braxton, and Foster the People.
There is a reason why Kenny G is a Grammy Award winner and one of the best selling artist of all time, and to see him perform live is a phenomenal experience that seems to transcend reality.

My experience with Kenny G last night in Westbury,NY will always be a memorable part of my concert going history. I could not believe my ears and eyes. Mr. G put on a SPECTACULAR performance from the beginning to the end. BRAVO!!! I have been in attendance to many concerts in my time and have seen some of the GREATS perform, but I was so impressed by the up front and personal Mr. G presented. His GENIUS, humor and stage appearance made this a night I will never forget!!!. MR. G. is the real deal. He even signed autographs and took pictures with all who purchased his CDS. He did not just perform and dash, he made me feel like a superstar as well. And I cannot leave out his band. Each and everyone of them were SPECTACULAR as well. They kept the crowd moving and grooving. Everyone left this show with smiles on there faces. And in this world we are living in today this is exactly what we needed "A NIGHT TO REMEMBER" WELL DONE GUYS for a magnificent performance.. I will be looking for you again in the New York and surrounding areas. YOUR BIGGEST FAN. DEE..

Kenny was in fine fission ss he played his show in St. Louis. What was different about this show to previous shows, is the inclusion of band members doing solos. Those were a bit "drawn out", it does showcase their talents. The highlight was the young gal who won the sax She was joined by her boyfriend while being serenaded by Kenny G playing a sweet ballad. Kenny knocked it out of the park showcasing his playing skills. He started on Alto and intermixed between tenor and his famous soprano sax. A great way to start the holiday season

OMG!!! That show last night at Westgate in San Jose was off the chain!!! This was the best concert I have seen in quite some time. George Benson was an awesome pairing for this event. The sunset was spectacular. The music was amazing! Not having seen either artist in concert, this was a definite treat and one more item to cross of the bucket list.
Thank you soo much for a fantastic evening full of serenades and excellent vibes. Love everyone who helped this event come to life!

Hi Kenny G I enjoyed your show so much first time seeing u at Epcot.i was sitting in the 3rd row to your left.i been listening to u for years way back.thank u so much for coming as I had to have someone work for me just to see u.im off Saturday n Sunday at Disney world 16 yrs in December working for Disney.hopefully u come to Orlando for a bigger contest.hope to see u soon and god bless. We had a great time... really nice there. Only problem was that when he gave away the sax, hardly no one knew you had to buy a ticket to have a chance to win. Overall great time. Plays really good. And as always, wish we could have spent more time and maybe would have gotten the VIP pass if we would have known it was available. thank you for the great experience

Kenny G is no doubt the greatest saxphonist on the planet but putting on a show, like the one my husband and I went to last night, made him an even greater artist in my eyes. His music is beyond fantastic, and his wonderful group put on an amazing show. So much fun. Thank you for coming to Sarasota. Please come back soon.

Awesome, great with the audience made a woman's night who had a kimo treatment that day and won the saxophone had her up on stage playing directly to her posed for pics while playing what a great artist and the band of 30 years right on point.Heart warming performance !

Kenny was friendly and sometimes making jokes. His performance was outstanding and his musicians were also great. He is so talented that he makes the saxophone sing. Thanks for the experience
