Moorestown High School Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 227 reviews
I transferred to Moorestown as a Junior. I was nervous, of course, because I did not know anyone or how to get around. I was kindly greeted and quickly found the right people to become friends with. The students and teachers are extremely welcoming and helpful. I have not been super involved in clubs and sports but Moorestown definetly has a wide variety of sports, clubs, and community service oppurtunities. One improvement I believe the school could make is more resources for applying to college. They have presentations from colleges, and the counselors help to an extent, but I did not feel properly informed about all the steps to applying for college or where to find scholarships.
I really enjoy the overall environment of the school. You can really be yourself and there are many opportunities for self growth. Not only that the education I am receiving is helping to prepare me for college as well as giving me tools I can use throughout the rest of my life. The worst part about my high school experience is probably freshman year, since everything was online. I feel as if I didn’t get the real “freshman experience”. I don’t really have anything that I would change about the school, I like everything that it has to offer as it is.
Pros- 1) Good sports teams and this school definitely prepares you for college. 2)Probably the best high school in Burlington County in terms of academics but there really isn't any competition for that title. 3) Pretty modern school 4)Access to many clubs, including LGBTQ Club, Model UN, etc. 5) Good Standardized test scores.
Cons- 1) Not enough diversity as there are way to many white spoiled rich kids who act like Frat Boys 2) The high school admin is very disorganized and can never get anything done. It takes them weeks to respond to any sort of email so they are basically useless. 3) You will find all kinds of teachers here and I mean that in the worst way possible. Some are nice but others are terribly mean. Some are qualified, some are definitely not. 4) The school likes to emphasize testing so expect sometimes to have a test in every one of your classes one day right before a long weekend or something like that. 5) School does not do much about bullying and guidance is useless
