#CarolinaNats: Cory Reed crash | NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Cory Reed suffered a crash when his motorcycle crossed the center line and he was thrown from his motorcycle. Reed was... | By NHRA | I said, they may not be uh they may not be the closest to buddies right now but whoever wins, they're both gonna be pitching in to try to make sure that bike can get to the final round. Advantage. Joey Gladstone. Dewey Gladstone on the track. Six point nine. Oh, hold on guys. Whoa. They got together at the top end and a wild ride down there in the shutdown area. This is from way down at the far end of the race track. Corey's on the right side of the screen. Joey's on the left. Comes down to a few thousands at the stripe. Now, right there. See, Corey's trying to lean, tryna stay over his bike. He's driving right. He's doing everything he can to bring it back and right there, the two make contact. Off the bike, on the ground, and then just sliding down the asphalt. Watch this again up close and personal. We've seen this a couple of times during the course of the weekend. When the bike starts going one way, it is very difficult to get it to change directions at 190 miles an hour. Corey's got a lot of experience on a lot of different types of motorcycles. You can see him. He's leaning over. He's got his leg hanging out trying to catch the wind trying to pull the bike over and keep it on his side of the racetrack but it just kept going right. And I guarantee you what's going through his mind right now is I do not wanna get into Joey. Look how hard he's leaning and hanging off of that thing trying to stay away from him. Contact is made. The bite goes down. The air picks everything up and wow. A very scary moment here at Zmax. Joey, as soon as he got his bike stopped, came running back down the racetrack to check on his friend. With the official word from the top end, conscious, alert, communicating with the safety personnel, an undergoing evaluation.
