Born in Stratford, Ontario, Justin first broke into the music industry when music manager Scooter Braun spotted his performances on YouTube and then joined forces with superstar Usher to sign thirteen-year-old Justin to a record deal with Island Def Jam Music Group.

Justin's latest number 1 album, Believe, came out in June 2012. It follows his number 1 Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, which was Justin's third number 1 debut in just 18 months. This incredible achievement makes Justin the youngest artist in Billboard history to have a holiday album enter at number 1 and then first solo artist in Billboard history to chart three number 1 albums before his 18^th birthday. I am a 24 year old female. I loved this book. Of course, Justin is not an 'author', so I didn't expect William Shakespeare... But this book is so real. This reminds you that Justin was not "made" as so many people believe, he worked so hard to get to where he is today. You see so much negative press about him... But he is so much more than that. You don't see all of the good that he does. Anybody that doubts him or his authenticity should read this book, any age (male or female). He is real. He cares. He has a good heart. You shouldn't be so quick to judge by what you see on TV and in the magazines... You should try to know who he is and what he's about.

I read this book because my granddaughter is a fan of Justin's and I wanted to give it to her as a gift. I wanted to read it to make sure it was appropriate for her to read. Needless to say I probably enjoyed the book as much as she did. It gives you a lot more insight in to the hard work that goes in to a serious teen career. I not only laughed a lot, but also cried a few times. It was amazing, inspiring, and I feel there are much worse examples of stars that our young people look up too! Bravo Justin!! I hope he keeps writing them as his career progresses.

A boy I know saw his documentary (it was the only kid appropriate movie in the theaters) and he said he liked it. This really tells more of his celebrity life (sequel to "First Step 2 Forever: My Story") and what he has to do know to "be normal". I really liked it!
