Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Very good sound on this recording and as far as the performance, Mr. Redbone had probably never played a performance that was anything less than fantastic.
I am a long time Leon Redbone fan. Love the era of his music and this album is not at all disappointing. The quality of the sound is better than some of the older Redbone CD's which is something I appreciate. I probably listen to this more than any other CD I have. It was a great b-day gift for a friend to introduce him to Leon. Buy it, you'll like it.
This is not a studio recording. This is a Live recording that puts you in the middle of a Leon Redbone concert. If you have never experienced a live Leon Redbone concert this CD will make you wish that you had.
I am a big fan of Leon Redbone. However, this disc lacks good sound quality. It was recorded live. The cd has a lot of good songs, but it is a BIG disappointment! Buy a studio made recording instead.
I been a fan of Leon Redbone for quite some time. I have replaced many of my vinyls with CD's. My daughter gave me an autographed vinyl for Christmas one year. The major problem the "Live - October 26, 1992" is the poor audio mix. The equipment is substandard or the audio engineer is. You only have to listen to the second track to know Leon was not at his best that night. I surprised Leon allowed it to be released.
This is my favorite of the Leon Redbone LIVE ALBUMS,
I already have the Leon Redbone "Live & Kickin" album, which is totally unique on it's own as it is Leon in his most "Raw" form.
Leon Redbone Live from Paris France is a more elegant & intimate performance, that gives us some of his finest tunes and some of my all time favorites such as "Love letters in the sand, Play Gypsy Play, Thinking of me thinking of you, and The Whistling Colonel"
Unlike the Amazon Description, there are actually 21 tracks on the album and not 20. They are in the following order:
1.)Sweet Mama, Papa's Gettin' Mad 2.)Ain't Misbehavin' (I'm Savin' My Love for You) 3.)She's My Girl 4.)Goodbye Charlie Blues 5.)Up a Lazy River 6.)Csárdás (only released on this album) 7.)Polly Wolly Doodle 8.)Please Don't Talk Tabout Me When I'm Gone 9.)Waitin' for You 10.)Think of Me Thinking of You 11.)Marie 12.)Sugar 13.)Big Time Woman 14.)Love Letters in the Sand 15.)Piano Interlude 16.)I'm Going Home 17.)Diddy Wa Diddie 18.)Play Gypsy Play 19.)The Whistling Colonel 20.)Gotta Shake That Thing 21.)So Relax
This album is an absolute delight and will bring you hours of enjoyment for many years to come.
