Visit of the colleagues from Vietnam was finalized with the signing of an agreement in principle that identifies further collaboration opportunities between the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov MSU and Academy of Journalism and Communication (Hanoi, Vietnam).

On April 16, the Faculty of Journalism welcomed colleagues from Vietnam, including Rector of Academy of Journalism and Communication based in Hanoi, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Son, Associate Professor of VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities Dr. Le Thi Minh Loan and Head of the Department of Academic Affairs of Academy of Journalism and Communication Dr. Tran Van Thu. Colleagues met our Dean Professor Elena Vartanova and Head of International Affairs Office Dr Anna Gladkova to sign the agreement that charters future cooperation prospects.

After a tour around the beautiful faculty building, colleagues explored potential areas of cooperation and general principles to guide their work, a meaningful conversation that was followed by them signing an agreement of scholarly and educational cooperation. Crucial document that identifies common scholarly interests, Agreement in principle for scholarly and educational cooperation aims to foster exchange of academic staff, student internships, exchange of educational and research experience along with joint research projects and events.

One of the key journalism institutions in Vietnam, Academy of Journalism and Communication has been partner of our faculty for the last decade. In 2013, the two institutions signed an agreement for scholarly and educational cooperation that was expanding opportunity and elevating excellence of both academic institutions in a most profound manner. As part of the continued effort, the parties then agreed to promote academic exchange and joint scholarly projects. On April 16, the partnership was renewed and its new course chartered.

Thanks to colleagues for the fruitful exchange regarding collaboration opportunities! The Faculty of Journalism is thrilled to strengthen international partnerships and learn from globally-minded peers!
