Whew! Tyrese Gibson Says He’s Done ‘Living In Fear’ As He Addresses His Legal Matter: “I’ve Got Nothing To Lose But My Mind And My Reputation”
Tyrese Gibson is done letting his name and reputation get dragged through the mud so now he’s taking the bold step to address the legal battle with his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell Gibson.
In a new Instagram post, Tyrese talks about his frustrations with the allegations against him while exposing how important it is to provide receipts to be taken seriously as a man. The Fast and Furious actor shared a snippet of the court documents against his ex-wife, indicating that he was tired of living in fear while his name was being slandered. Though the zoomed-in image didn’t reveal the details of the case, Tyrese assured his followers that the 167-page document contained no lies or fabricated information.
In his lengthy post, he talks about the injustices he claims to have faced, including blackmail, extortion, defamation, death threats, tax evasion, forged signatures, falsified bank statements, domestic and international wire fraud, and money laundering. He said:
He began saying, “I’ve got nothing to lose but my mind and my reputation…. And neither one of these are no longer up for grabs… I get it, I get it… We are living in the TIMES UP and ME TOO eta!” He continued, “I’m done living my life in fear of what she might accuse me of next… I’m done with anyone having power over my life to make ALL THAT I HAVE BUILT crumble…. [ for those of you who will say “Cry me a river, you rich alpha MALE”… That’s cool.”
Tyrese went on to share allegations of his own, accusing Norma of owing over $25,000 as he claimed she did not Handle her end of their daughter’s tuition payments. He went on to say that he believes she does not have their daughter Shayla’s best interests at heart.
Although Tyrese made it clear that he would not resort to emotional outbursts or public displays of vulnerability. He acknowledged that the truth often gets overshadowed by lies. Here’s what else he had to say:
