So you use the old Google Maps Version
Unfortunately Google offers no possibility to switch to the old Version of Google Maps. This allows you to call up while still typing a specific web address, however, it is unclear how long this will work. When you Open the page the note appears: "This Version of Google Maps will be updated soon". Currently (Stand: 19. May 2015), you can reach the old Google Maps, under one of the following two addresses:
- https://www.google.com/lochp
- https://maps.google.com/maps?output=classi
The classic Google Maps
So you can use the Lite mode of Google Maps
Should you have any problems with the latest Version of Google Maps, you can also switch to the Lite mode, in which some functions are disabled, Google Maps works but faster. To the Lite mode, you must have logged in with your user name and password.
- The bottom right, click on the lightning Symbol. After that, select "In the Lite mode switch".
- With the same procedure you can return to the full version.
