Kansas City journalist Abby Eden will return to WDAF-TV FOX4’s morning show in two months, after leaving the show in January.

Eden will rejoin the morning show team on September 25, working alongside FOX4 colleagues including Pat McGonigle, Karli Ritter and Nick Vasos, according to the Nextstar Media Group, Inc. news release.

“I missed being in journalism,” Eden said. “Since I was a little girl, being a journalist is all I ever wanted to be. I want to continue the important work FOX4 does every day for our viewers.”

Tracy Brogden, FOX4 Vice President and General Manager, said she is thrilled to have Eden rejoin the show.

“She has a long history of serving our viewers and community. This is a special team,” she said.

Eden worked at FOX4 for more than 12 years before leaving earlier this year, according to her LinkedIn. Her latest job included doing Marketing and Public Relations at construction engineering company Burns & McDonell.

Isabella Douglas is a breaking news and criminal justice intern for the Kansas City Star. Before joining The Star she worked for The Independent Florida Alligator, Fresh Take Florida and New Tampa & Wesley Chapel Neighborhood News. When she isn’t reporting, she can be found reorganizing her bookshelf and adding books to her ever-growing TBR.
