So happy Christone “Kingfish” Ingram had such a great night! I buy the real thing, and that is one great record!
Very surprised and disappointed that Samantha Fish was left out. Not even nominated. Great talent, great voice, great songwriter and FANTASTIC GUITARIST! Works so hard to bring blues rock music to the people. Top it all off, she is a sweetheart and great to her fans!
I agree completely!
Anthony Gomes had his album High Voltage Blues on the Billboard charts for some 58 weeks & he didn’t even get a nod. As far as I can tell, the BF has completely ignore him.
Right ?!??!?? He is amazing ! Wonder why he is no included?
If there was a Young Blues Artist of The Year catagory, It would have to be 19 year old guitarist Toby Lee. Check him out, he is awesome.

Very disappointed that Bob Corritore did win. In the Harmonica category. He is still my favorite.
Mine too!!! I was quite surprised and very disappointed!!
A coupla thoughts:
1. No one is doing more important blues recordings than Shemekia Copeland over the past 5 years
2. Where the heck is Buddy Guy, arguably the greatest living blues artist, who has released one great album after another in recent years (thank you Tom Hambridge!).
3. Dion? Who’s putting out more good blues music than Dion Dimucci?
4. How about an International Award, so we can recognize artists like Colin James, Crystal Shawanda, Harrison Kennedy, Blue Moon Marquee, Matt Anderson, Thorbjorn Risager, Elles Bailey, etc.
5. Really happy to see artists like Sue Foley, Mike Zito, Ruthie Foster, Doug Macleod, etc. get recognition
And Taj Farrant
