Meet Frankie Valli’s family, from his son with a restraining order – and who starred in The House Bunny – Francesco Jr, to the ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ singer’s 4th wife, Jackie Jacobs
When Frankie Valli accepted his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame last week, only two of his three sons were present to celebrate the honour. Francesco Valli Jr was nowhere to be seen amid the pomp and circumstance.
That’s because a Los Angeles County judge ordered the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons singer’s eldest son to stay at least 100 yards (90 metres) away from his father just days before last Friday’s ceremony.
But what happened to lead to these circumstances? Here’s what we know about Frankie Valli’s family – and the restraining order that was made against his son Francesco Jr:
Who are Frankie Valli’s children?
As reported by People, Frankie has six children: Celia, Antonia, Francine, Francesco, Emilio and Brando.
Frankie, 90, shares Francesco and twins Emilio and Brando with his third ex-wife Randy Clohessy, whom he was married to from 1984 to 2004. The “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” singer also has two daughters, Antonia and Francine, and a late stepdaughter, Celia, with first ex-wife Mary Mandel.
Sadly, Frankie lost his stepdaughter Celia Sabin Valli (from Mandel’s previous marriage) in 1980, after she died during an accident. His daughter Francine also died reportedly from a drug overdose the same year, writes People. In 2013, Frankie told Billboard that “losing a kid was a very, very tough experience” and “it’s not something you ever, ever get over”.
Does Frankie Valli have any grandchildren?
Who is Frankie Valli’s current wife?
The famous crooner is currently married to his fourth wife, former CBS marketing executive Jackie Jacobs, as shared by People. The duo – who have a 19-year age gap – tied the knot in Las Vegas last year. “It’s terrific to have found love once again at this stage of my life,” Valli told People after the ceremony.
Valli has been married four times: he was with his first wife Mary Mandel from 1957 to 1971; MaryAnn Hannigan from 1974 to 1982; then Randy Clohessy from 1984 to 2004.
Why does Frankie Valli have a restraining order against his son, Francesco Valli Jr?
According to a restraining order reviewed by The Times, Francesco must keep his distance from his father and his 36-year-old brother Emilio until April 29, 2027 – three years from the day Emilio’s restraining order request after a hearing was granted.
The order prohibits Francesco from contacting Emilio and his father, and from committing any action that might “disturb the peace”, including harassing, assaulting or stalking his relatives.
The new order extends Emilio’s original temporary restraining order against his brother, which a judge granted in early April. In his initial request, Emilio accused his older brother of breaking into their father’s home on April 5, People reported. Emilio alleged that his brother “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” him and their father. He also reportedly accused Francesco of theft and of destroying the singer’s property, among other allegations.
“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a representative told People.
