Some people find it more comfortable to use the spacebar when it's flipped. Like most things in this hobby, boils down to preference.

Second this.. the angle works so much better for me. Won’t go back.

Dont you hate the way it looks though?

I looks awful 😂

Lol, honestly not really. It was weird as hell the first few days but I stopped noticing it pretty much immediately. There are two sides to the hobby.. one side that cares more about feel and sound and the experience of typing, and one side that cares more about the aesthetics.. everyone falls somewhere in between, on that spectrum, and for me the experience of using the inverted space bar is worth any sacrifice to the aesthetics. I’d just encourage you to try it and see if the experience is something you enjoy! It’s like a 5 min experiment that could have a big positive!

The angle with which my thumb hit the (sharp edge of the) space bar in the normal orientation make it seem higher and causes strain on the thumb. Flipping it allows my thumb to hit the flat side making it seem lower and put less strain on the thumb.

Comfort. If you like it then use it. I find it more comfortable but it gets your ocd so i just have it normal

For me it's because for some reason there's switch interference with my spacebar so I had to flip it. Seems and feels weird at first but it has slowly grown onto me

Depending on the key profile, flipping the space bar puts the top surface at a more comfortable angle. Only works on asymmetric profile keycaps (symmetric keycaps, of course, would be identical in either orientation) .

I flip it because when my thumbs hits down on it it’s not hitting the “ridge”. I have OEM profile.
