Mine have changed quite a bit over the last few years as I lose interest in bands like Aerosmith and Ratt (as 2 random examples) who don't put out new songs/albums. So some bands that would've been in the lower teens have risen to the top (eg Saxon). I still have UFO and Magnum in there as they've only recently called it a day.

    LOUDNESS
    UFO
    SAXON
    SCORPIONS
    JUDAS PRIEST
    MAGNUM
    VAIN
    JOURNEY
    CHEAP TRICK
    DOKKEN
    ANTHEM

    I know that's 11 but couldn't split the last 2 ;-)

There are 3 bands in your list I'd say deserve to be in mine as well (Stones, Allmans, Priest) with another I like a lot (Hatchet), but I just have too many others that are more part of my musical DNA.

    Sigh. Goddamit this is hard.

Only made easier with your rule of "no solo artists, just bands" so I can rule out Gary Moore (my favorite guitar player ever), Rory Gallagher, Joe Walsh, Hendrix, Nils Lofgren, Neil Young (just for say 1/3rd of his total albums that I love amongst another 2/3rd that do nothing for me), Bruce Dickinson, Glenn Hughes, Joe Satriani and many many others.....

So, kind of off top of my head, with apologies to at least 50-100 bands that I love but not in my current consciousness to make today's top ten I'd have to say, mostly not in any particular order:

    The Who
My favorite band ever just for their work up through Who Are You despite massively falling off afterwards IMO, but still coming through with one of my favorite concerts ever in 2000 when I saw them from about 10 feet away from Townshend via my vantage point in the "pit". I probably have more albums by them, and more VERSIONS of albums by them, and more boxsets by them, and more "bootlegs" by them, than anyone else in my collection.

    Dizzy Mizz Lizzy
My current favorite active band, and has been my favorite overall since I 1st heard them back in 1994; songwriter/singer/guitarist Tim Christensen is amongst my three favorite musicians/songwriters, right up there with Townshend, something about his (both of these guys) songs & playing does something to my brain I cannot describe.

    Porcupine Tree
Steven Wilson is the 3rd of my holy trinity of songwriters/band leaders along with the two guys above, although honestly his solo stuff just doesn't do much for me with PTree I am astounded by some of their songs/albums.

    AC/DC

Seeing them back in the 70's with Bon Scott at one of the most memorable concerts I've ever been to which I've already told that story up here a bunch of times, has or should, cemented them in my top 10 forever. Angus is up there with my favorite guitarists of course, and then there's that crazy dream I told you guys about recently where I got to substitute for Angus in an AC/DC concert so yeah, they're in my musical DNA alright.

    UFO

With my current living fave guitar player Michael Schenker, who had quite the perfect band going with Mogg, Way, Raymond, & Parker as well as other lineups even without Schenker still with some stellar musical achievements.

    Rush
Words fail me as to their absolute brilliance for so many years.

    Thin Lizzy
Will always be in my top 10, such great songs courtesy Mr Lynott.

    Iron Maiden
I don't even like their albums with Di'Anno much, and am lukewarm on the ones with Blaze, but my Dog with Bruce they can almost do no wrong in my book, and their recent output spins my ears around in amazement.

    King's X
Just for their six album run up through Ear Candy and all the incredible concerts I've seen them do over the years - a band I don't understand not making it to levels of success like Rush, AC/DC or Maiden just for those 1st 6 albums.

    Blue Öyster Cult
One of my favorites ever, a long list of great songs and albums, and in Buck Dharma another of my favorite guitarists, a band "always on tour", and they continue to do great things especially in a live setting.

Wait - that's 10? Where's Wishbone Ash in that list? Or Horslips (a band I recently spent like a year going through their massive 35 disc box set)? Mott the Hoople (a huge influence in my younger days that crashed and burned out too soon)? Lynyrd Skynyrd (right up there with The Who for me in the '70's and deserve to be in my top 10 no question). Deep Purple? Sabbath? Riverdogs even? I need to stop...

    My favourite Survivor record.

One small curiosity is that even though Frankie Sullivan is credited as one of the producers, it's the least guitar-driven of all of their albums.

For those into Mudvayne, it appears their catalog is being re-released by Music on Vinyl on June 14 (at least the first 3 albums). What's interesting is it appears they're doing a numbered, limited to 1500 run despite having done so in 2017. I'm not seeing anything on MOV's site yet, but was able to pre-order via Amazon US.

LD 50 - Limited Gatefold 180-Gram Yellow & Black Marble Colored Vinyl

Yet another list with bands I could see all in my top 10.

Btw, I think so far Rush has been on the most lists (? all but one?).
