Academic Excellence
Strong academic achievement is a focus at Centennial and we provide valuable opportunities for students to improve and further develop literacy and numeracy skills. Students will find a full range of programs and academic activities to match their needs and interests.
Teachers and staff work collaboratively to provide enriching opportunities for students to better their academic experience. Our many community partnerships provide exceptional opportunities for students in all pathways.
Students will have the opportunity to explore their interests and passions in a wide variety of areas including the arts, sciences, technology, physical and health education, hospitality, community service, leadership, and many, many more.
Athletic Prowess
The Centennial Athletics Program offers students an opportunity to play on a variety of sports teams which are both individual or team based.
Student athletes develop sportsmanship qualities while participating in league play, tournaments and championships. Extra curricular athletic opportunities also allow student athletes to demonstrate commitment, time management and leadership skills.
Centennial has outstanding athletic facilities, boasting a triple gymnasium, weight room facility and sporting fields outside with access to the track and turf field located across the road. Our athletic participation and success are celebrated and recognized both in the community and throughout school events. Centennial's proud tradition for athletics is reflected by strong staff and student involvement as well as post-secondary success by our former student athletes.
Artistic Integrity
Experiences in the arts - dance, drama, media arts, music, and the visual arts - play a valuable role in the education of all students. Through participation in the arts, students can develop their creativity, learn about their own identity, and develop self-awareness, self-confidence, and a sense of well-being.
Since artistic activities involve intense engagement, students experience a sense of wonder and joy when learning through the arts, which can motivate them to participate more fully in cultural life and in other educational opportunities.
