Obituary
Betty Jane Morgan, 94 of Hartford City, IN, formerly of Montpelier passed away at 9:30 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at her home in Hartford City, IN. She was born on Tuesday, December 3, 1929, in Blackford County, IN. She married Robert Morgan on Saturday, December 24, 1949 in Hartford City, IN. Betty attended Montpelier High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montpelier. She was a hard worker who had gotten her first job at the age of 12. She worked for Indiana Box in Montpelier for 45 years. She was a member of the Montpelier Lions Club, a former member of the American Legion Post 156 Auxiliary, Montpelier Historical Society, and the Dinner Bell Band. Betty enjoyed painting, coloring, reading, and loved spending time with her family.
Betty will be sadly missed by her Daughter - Carmen (Steve) Eikenbary, Gas City, IN, Granddaughter - Chea Ann Hale, Punta Gorda, FL, Grandson - Matt Eikenbary, Muncie, IN, Sisters- Helen Thorton, Grand Rapids, MI, Violet & Lyla, Half Sister- Phyllis Knox, Hartford City, IN, Great Granddaughter - Chloe Turner, Great Grandsons - Mason Turner and Douglas Hale, and several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband - Robert Morgan, Siblings- George McClain, Jack McClain, and Johnny Bob McClain.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. 47359 on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will follow at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
