Colleen Isabel MEEKER Colleen Isabel Meeker was born in Seattle, Washington on May 21, 1950, to Thomas and Vivian Meeker. Colleen, age 55, died at home in her sleep on October 17, 2005. Colleen worked for a doctors' exchange answering service and enjoyed modeling. She was an author and poetess, writing two as yet unpublished books. Her poems have appeared in the Seattle Times and Everett Herald; her tribute to 9/11 hangs at Harborview Hospital. Colleen is survived by her brother, Thomas Bangs Meeker; long-time companion, Bill Stamey; beloved friend, Haakon Ragnskjold, and a large extended family. There was a graveside observance at Holy Rood Cemetery on November 2. Father Otto Koltzenburg presided, and family members shared memories and read a memorial scroll in respect and appreciation for her life. Following the observance family and friends met to give farewell respects and listen to selections from her poetry that recalled her life and those around her.

Colleen and I were best friends at Holy Angels and stayed in touch for years. I am devastated to hear of her passing from my brother, Bill, who lives in Seattle. I have many stories and fun memories of the things we did as teenagers and young women. We also shared a flare for writing, poetry and songs together. I have so hoped to find eachother again ... if only to reminice in our golden years. Tom, may your heart know that as she rests in peace she will always be fondly and lovingly remembered by me.
