Overview[]

Vincent Savino was an American gangster active during the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was a member of the Chicago crime mob and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to become the manager of the Savoy Casino. Vincent believed in his own personal code of honor, and did not believe that it was the purvue of members of organized crime to "act like animals" whenever they felt like it. That being said, Vincent had a vicious streak within him as well and held little sympathy for those he considered his enemies.

Biography[]

Vincent Savino was a middle-aged man from Chicago during the early 1960s. In 1960, the mob sent him out to Las Vegas, Nevada so they could "plant a flag" in the rapidly growing gambling community. Savino became the manager of the Savoy Casino and kept the casino's previous manager, Anthony "Red" Cervelli, on as his right-hand man.

Vincent quickly made his in-roads to the power players of Las Vegas, many of whom were already pawns of the mob, including the town's sheriff, a man named Clyde. When Clyde turned up missing, Mayor Ted Bennett appointed rancher Ralph Lamb to serve as an interim deputy. Ralph began investigating the murder of one of the Savoy's credit accountants, Samantha Meade, which brought him into conflict with Vincent Savino. Savino recognized Lamb as a tough cowboy who posed a threat to his current enterprises. [1]
