I kept forgetting I had this set sitting around waiting to be built. I had built Godzilla and never looped back to Kong, mainly because I didn’t like the product images on the box. Looks way better in person. Liked a lot of the torso design, although it uses a lot of Mega specific bricks. Overall a decent build with some fun build techniques. Only issue I had was that there are two different color grays that are a bit hard to identify via the instructions.

While this set isn't made by the biggest name in brick sets, it is a reputable brand. The quality is almost as good (not quite) and it's a good value. This set is a lot of fun. It's fairly challenging - the recommended age is 13 and up so younger children will likely need assistance. I really like that the Kong figure is poseable after being built! The waterfall feature is cool as well. My kid's favorite part is the ice-blue battle axe! Overall, this is a great set offered at a reasonable price.

This was an enjoyable build for my grandson. At 541 pieces, it’s not an overly quick one which is nice. I think it gives him a longer build experience. The pieces all went together relatively well. The plastic bricks are simply not as good as Lego. They aren’t as poorly fitting as some generic sets but it is worth noting that the quality of the pieces isn’t Lego. I honestly wish Mega could develop the flawless bricks because I think they have some very unique set ideas that Lego doesn’t have.

Overall this is an enjoyable build and the large Godzilla Kong figure is action figure size which is creative. He can be articulated into different positions for real play and not just a display.

This Mega Kong Action Figure building set is challenging for a 541-piece set. It’s a good size set that can be built in a session or two, depending on tenacity and experience.

While my preferred brick building brand is LEGO, I do like how MEGA offers unique sets that aren’t found in other brick brands. They make quality bricks, and the instructions are decent, but I find there is always room for improvement in this area. The bags of pieces are numbered and correspond with steps in the instructions.

As for Kong, he is poseable and will be lots of fun for younger ones to play with. He is cool as a standalone piece, or he can be paired with Godzilla, the other half of this set.

Overall, the build is fun, and the final product makes a great display piece or action figure. While somewhat expensive, the current price point of $49.99 is comparable to what LEGO would charge for a set with this piece count.

Come who doesn't like King Kong and Godzilla! If you are like me, you watched the Japanese version of Godzilla with the bad spoken English over the Japanese spoken in the movies. And now as an adult, you are a fan of Godzilla and King Kong, the newer movie series.

So yes whatever age you are, if you are like me and if you see this kit, you are going to GASP in delight like I did. LOL Yes I know, I am a Godzilla/King Kong Geek and proud of it!! LOL

When I saw this come up, I was like OMG!! I gotta get it! My hubby and I are both Lego and Godzilla/King Kong fans. So we are planning on building together as a couple project! So this might not be Lego but all the pieces seem to be there and the booklet is great with the illustrations to help assemble this. And seriously, that axe is to die for! I am so excited to be able to build this with the hubby and put it up on our shelf to display it!

Very excited to get this started!

This mega Kong is fantastic. It has the classic mega block look and the nostalgia of King Kong. It is easy to put together and has 541 pieces. This is the companion piece to Godzilla with the new Godzilla x Kong movie coming out. He is posable and has the waterfall feature included. Now I need to get the Godzilla mega and complete the set!
