IPL 2024: The Indian Premier League is one of the most popular and profitable sports tournaments in the world and is watched by nearly half a billion people around the world. Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the original eight franchises of the IPL and has played in every iteration of the tournament since its inception in 2008. United Spirits own RCB. RCB has reached the IPL finals three times in 2009, 2011 and 2016, losing all three to Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, respectively.
Even after a stacked lineup of veteran domestic and international players over the years like Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, AB de Villers, Chris Gayle, Anil Kumble and Zaheer Khan, RCB has never lifted the IPL cup. The team has become a butt of memes on social media due to this, and Captain Kohli often comes under fire from the netizens. RCB has the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore as its home ground.
