The social aspect needs no notes. The quality of education varies GREATLY depending on which professor you are paired with, and grades suffer subsequently.
It’s really a great research college and you get connected to faculty fast to help support you through your years in the University giving you the opportunity to connect with them again should you go back for a graduate program and they are able to be a graduate advisor.
Great school for what I seen. Beautiful campus with great people. Wide variety of academic opportunities.
KU is without a doubt the biggest and the best college in Kansas. Its best aspect is that it's home to thousands of students from all walks of life creating a very diverse campus. everyone has a different experience going to college but at KU you're guaranteed to find your people and create lifelong friendships, memories, and connections. that diversity also adds to the quality of education, as students are able to learn from each other's varied experiences and form new opinions and identities from them.
During my Freshman year, my professors ranged from eccentric to professional. but they were all friendly and understanding of the fact that I and my peers were transitioning into college life. I don't have anything bad to say about the educators I had. I seldom hear students complain about the professors.
The only aspect of KU that was persistently awful was the housing. I lived in Naismith Hall, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. But that are many housing options in Lawrence.

What I liked about the University of Kansas is that I was challenged to think outside of the box while completing my minor in economics at this college. The professors drove me to think critically about chemical engineering and how it effects our everyday lives. This led to the excitement and enthusiasm about pursuing this degree. Also, I liked that I learned how to properly communicate and make connections with my professors, time management skills, and many other transferable skills that I will use to be successful in graduate school. What I would like to see change is the diversity on campus. Being a chemical engineer, I was one of two African-Americans in my graduating class of seventy people. By encouraging more African-American students to pursue degrees in STEM I think this problem could be solved. One more thing I would liked to see changed is a level of change in the chemical engineering department that does not just solely focus on process engineering.
Would love some more variety in on campus dining options, but overall a very friendly atmosphere with a majority of good professors.
Kansas had everything that I wanted in a college: great academics and atmosphere. I appreciated the level of rigor in my classes and the opportunity to meet with professors. The opportunities for leadership were endless.
KU has taught me how to properly live an independent life and what I should and should not do to balance my social life and workload. However, things such as student living have not been that great for me as the people on my floor do not respect quiet hours and it makes it very difficult to study in the comfort of my own room.
I wanted to go to Kansas because it is pretty close to my hometown. I really love the layout of campus with food and classes being close to each other. The surrounding area is very nice with many small businesses and fun things to do!
The University of Kansas is a great place to go if you are interested in research opportunities. Many professors are engaged in their own research and many take on undergraduate students are research assistants.
The first thing I noticed about this campus is how beautiful it was. Everything flows together to create a very enjoyable experience. The staff is helpful and the people on campus are nice!
Attending The University of Kansas was not only an important decision, but the best one I could have made. Lawrence offers everything I would want in college town and it had a very homey feel. I recieved a great education and the school handled the COVID pandemic really well.
Overall, I have had a really nice time here. I have learned a lot and can not wait to learn more. There could be improvements to some things, though. In the dorms, the cleaning could be kept up better. Temperature could also be regulated more. However, I like the layout of the room I am staying in. It is very nice and they furniture that they provide is also not too bad. I stay in a four room, so some other rooms on the campus do not get the furniture I do, but it is still nice. Another issue could be with food. There is not too much variety with what they offer. They most popular places that many people frequent serve the same thing throughout the whole year. The food does not taste bad, but it can get old after a while. The campus is very fun to walk, even though it is known for its many hills. There are also always many activities going on. There is never nothing going on. The biggest changes I would like would be for housing and for food options.
The University of Kansas School of Business has amazing professors who care for their students and work hard to prepare students for life after college. The university is very spirited and has a student body that is very accepting of all interests. The campus opportunities are diverse and every student will have access to numerous clubs and organizations that fit their interests.
the faculty and staff are horrific people and grade inflation has removed most of the challenge college used to be known for.
I started going to school here during COVID-19 in 2020, lived in the dorm for a few months, and moved back home to do all my classes online. After my freshman year, I got an apartment with friends and my school experience has been much better. KU has an amazing campus with wonderful amenities, the only complaint that I still have about campus is the lack of food options on campus. There are a decent few options but most of them are just generic KU meals that are less than ideal.
I love the diversity on campus, and meeting all different types of people in my classes. I also love the campus and the transportation. The university has transportation that circles through campus, and free public transportation that also passes through campus. The campus also has good food and coffee. The professors, TAs, and GTAs are also great. I also like to take advantage of the free tutoring, help rooms, and the libraries open 24 hours.
The University of Kansas is where anybody can be anybody. Just stepping into the campus made me feel accepted for who I am. The academic opportunities that KU offers is something that made me choose KU.
Attending the University of Kansas has been an enlightening experience. I have made great friends, everyone is welcoming, and the professors are incredible. All professors are very understanding and kind to work with. The food is good, and there are many extracurriculars to which everyone will find their place.
The University of Kansas is a great school to attend. Whether it be basketball games or going to the bars there is always something to do. Classes at the University of Kansas are top-notch and you can tell right off the bat that Students at the University of Kansas are held to a higher standard than your run-of-the-mill university.
