I'm feeling better today but I'm posting even earlier than yesterday because I've got a memorial to attend. This one involves breaking one of my big rules. It's in a bar and I don't go into bars anymore. Well, I'll go to Handlebars with my mom and her guy but's in Apache Junction on the other side of the continent and the main attraction is the burgers despite their impressive collection of beers. But I can't skip this memorial. She used to cut my hair but that doesn't begin to describe it. I found it all but impossible to introduce her to people because before I could finish they were saying "oh hi Lisa! It's been ages!" She knew everyone that I knew before I did. No wonder that I liked her.

So I don't have any news yet today. I could dig up news from Gaza but suffice it to say that everyone is behaving stupidly and mad at everyone else with the end result that people will continue to die

Political Discussion welcome.

What's On Tonight (Thursday): Until the fall, Elsbeth!

Courtesy Paste Magazine.

Tonight's Top Pick is the season finale of Elsbeth, the Cancellation League favorite that went on to win the hearts of CBS-CBS-CBS viewers. I feel like I would probably enjoy the show, as it sounds Columboesque.

I'm tired and I'm grumpy and it's not even 8:00 yet. It feels like my surgical wound isn't healing like should but it was seven years ago the last time that I had this done and I was already in the hospital and probably on pain killers. They cut me and cauterized me at the same time. Maybe that's the difference.

I'm also losing patience with everyone involved with Gaza. I didn't expect Egypt to have told Israel and Hamas different things about the hostage deal.  Sooner or later that was going to come out.

I do expect more hostages to die and many Palestinians to starve or be blown to bits. Both passes from Egypt to Gaza have been closed. UNRWA and World Kitchen can't get supplies in. The American pier is busted. Jordan is still attempting to send trucks in through Israel. The are being attacked by people from the kibbutzim. Those people are being told where and when the trucks are by IDF and the Iraeli police. It never ends. [Times of Israel] https://www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-802123

What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Finale-ish

Grown-ish

Aloha! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, May 22!

Our Top Pick tonight is the series finale of Grown-ish (Freeform, 10 p.m. / Hulu, Thursday). After six seasons and two of the Johnson kids as young adults, the youthful Black-ish spinoff concludes. I always enjoyed the show as I loved Black-ish -- and this show was definitely a retry at A Different World -- though when Junior/Andre joined, it was a jolt and I'm not sure keeping some of the cast around really worked. Honestly, I'd love to see this show with Jack and Diane. Hashtag Zoey for Life.

Elsewhere, there can only be one Survivor, One Chicago closes down leaving the Windy City open to summer crime, Abbott preps for summer break, Apple is TryingLoot's ex steals the spotlight, Jeopardy has a new MasterLondon is for sale, Nature goes to Ireland, a Singer is unMasked, and Top Chef gorges meat.

Jeopardy! recap for Tue., May 21

 Here are today's contestants:

- Chris D'Amico, a verifications specialist from Lakewood, Ohio;

- Sam Spar, a CPA originally from Burlington, Vermont; and

- Grant DeYoung, a grocery clerk from Prescott, Arizona. Grant is a four-day champ with winnings of $81,203.

Our Dumb Senator actually had a bright idea! And then he immediately got it wrong. He's been looking around and unlike most of mainstream media he did notice that Dems are picking all of the open seats when historically it's the opposition that gains. He noticed that the Dems were talking about abortion and it was a winning issue for them. * cue light bulb illustration for those who aren't used to having thoughts * If abortion can work for Dems it can work for us! We just all need to unite on when we want to ban abortion.
