STUDIOCANAL, a 100% affiliate of CANAL+ Group held by Vivendi, is Europe’s leading film and television studio, operating directly in nine major European markets – France, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Spain, Denmark and Benelux – as well as in Australia, New Zealand, China and The United States.

 

 

STUDIOCANAL produces, finances and distributes 80 new feature films per year, partnering with talents to make films in English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Polish and other European languages.

Additionally, STUDIOCANAL owns one of the largest film and series libraries in the world, boasting nearly 8,000 titles from 60 countries. Spanning 100 years of film history, this vast and unique catalogue includes among others the iconic À bout de souffle, Belle de jour, Les Bronzés font du ski, La Grande Vadrouille, La Cité de la peur, Apocalypse Now, Rambo, Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Love Actually, The Graduate, Bridget Jones, Terminator 2.

STUDIOCANAL restores 750+ classics films over the past 5 years thanks to an investment of 20 million such as King Kong by John Guillermin (1976), Le Procès by Orson Welles (1962), Le Mépris by Jean-Luc Godard (1963), Le Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie by Luis Buñuel (1972), Ludwig by Luchino Visconti (in partnership with La Cinémathèque française and Chanel – 1973), Le Pacte des Loups by Christophe Gans (2001, reconstruit en 4K), or Casque d’Or by Jacques Becker (1952).

STUDIOCANAL also produces almost 20 series each year and operates at an international level by globally distributing its scripted productions and CANAL+ Originals (2,000 hours of current and library content in distribution).
