Football University held a one-day camp in Connecticut last weekend. Over 180 prospects from the class of 2022, 2023, 2024 and beyond went thorough position-specific drills and received NFL-level coaching before participating in 1-on-1s.

"It was fantastic. Probably one of the best camps we have had up here in the Northeast," FBU coach Joe Bouffard said. "The overall talent was awesome."

Bouffard was impressed with Sparta (N.J.) Pope John XXIII 2023 linebacker Sean Line. He also liked Wilton (Conn.) wide receiver Parker Woodring, who is a rising senior.

"Line was the top prospects there. He's definitely a D1 guy. He was all over the field. Great size," Bouffard said. "Parker was another kid that stood out to me. He made plays. Great catches and smooth routes. He doesn't have any offers, but he should. He's a high academic kid, so he's going to visit a lot of Ivy League schools, but I think that he could play at a school like Duke. He reminds me a lot of [current Blue Devils wideout] Jake Bobo, who was at our Massachusetts camp a few years ago."

Line ended up edging out Woodring for the high school division's Gatorade "G" Award, but it was close according to Bouffard. Windsor (Conn.) High 2023 cornerback Jaion Williams was another soon-to-be-junior that had a strong day. He ended up landing an invite to the 2022 National Combine at the conclusion of the camp.

Two middle schoolers turned some heads in 2025 offensive lineman Peter Vomvolakis and 2025 defensive lineman Delaney Fludd.

"They were phenomenal," Bouffard said of Voomvolakis and Fludd. "Fludd is just going to be a stellar prospect if he develops into what he can be. Peter is slightly undersized, but he's solid, strong and has outstanding fundamentals. His technique and foot work are great. Same with his hand placement. He was manhandling a lot of the top linemen that were there.

Both Vomvolakis and Fludd are now on the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl watchlist and will have a chance to punch a ticket to the all-star event with a strong showing at the FBU Top Gun Showcase in July.

Some other youngsters recognized Saturday: 2025 quarterback Alexander Russey, 2025 defensive lineman Junior Turner, 2025 defensive back Saviahn Watkins, 2025 defensive back Shaundez Buckhannon, 2025 linebacker Jack Casey, 2025 quarterback Jayson Diaz, 20-25 defensive back Marco DiPlacido, 2026 linebacker Kayden Soares, 2026 wide receiver Damon Hibbert, 2026 linebacker Brady Rossacci, 2026 defensive lineman Shawn Lowe-Robinson, 2025 wide receiver Christopher Ortiz, 2025 linebacker Jayden Polk, 2027 running back Corey Smith, 2027 quarterback Brady Quinn, 2027 wide receiver Marquis Rose Jr., 2028 quarterback Lawrence Richardson and 2028 quarterback Maxwell Murphy.
