St. Louis forecast: Spot storm chance continues

Isolated storms possible Tuesday evening. Better chance of storms early Wednesday morning, then less humid.

ST. LOUIS — A few thunderstorms have popped up in the warm humid air Tuesday, but remained widely scattered. Humidity will remain high on Tuesday, but after Wednesday the humidity levels will go back into the comfortable range and will stay there through the end the week.

A cold front approaches early Wednesday will attempt to generate some showers and thunderstorms. Perhaps our best chance of rain over the next week will happen ahead of the front late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. By later Wednesday, the front will take the rain chances away from our region.

Severe weather is highly unlikely, but a few storms might have some gusty winds. While the humidity drops off, temperatures will remain in the low to mid 80s for highs. Overnight and early morning lows will be more pleasant though, mainly in the 60s.

Weekend appears to be mainly dry with only low rain chances at this point.
