I've been in the NJROTC program since the start of High School . This has been my saving grace. The NJROTC program is a family. The instructors are invested in the students which has only made me want to excel even more. They truly care. While in the NJROTC program I've had many opportunities to lead others. I have also had the opportunity to participate in the drill team and marksmanship program. In addition, I have participated in the Weightlifting program. Again the Coach really encourages the students. I have been pleased with my overall education and experiences at Nease.
Going to Nease was an experience, a lot of people complained about administration being too harsh for a high school. As well as one time while I was there they closed all the bathrooms expect for the ones closest to the deans which I thought was silly and inconvenient for the students.
Overall, my experience was pretty good. Nease definitely offers one of the most rigorous academic programs in the county, the International Baccalaureate Program. I was a part of this program and it definitely has helped me on college. It also allowed me to stay within a tighter knit community of like minded students. I also participated in the marching band for all four years and it was definitely one of the highlights of high school for me. The worst parts of my experience definitely came with administration. However, interactions with administration can usually be kept to a minimum so it didn't have a huge impact on my high school experience at Nease. I would like to see more care put into hiring administration staff in that the staff they hire actually want to be there and that it is not based off of favortism.
