Joachim von Ribbentrop (born 30th April 1893) is the foreign minister of the SS State of Burgundy.

Early career

Joachim von Ribbentrop served several diplomatic positions for the German government becoming the foreign minister of the Greater Germanic Reich before the Second World War, first gaining the position in February of 1938. Ribbentrop's role however became increasingly irrelevant after the war as diplomatic contact outside the Einheitspakt became rarer and Adolf Hitler personally disliked him more and more, eventually replacing him with Walther Hewel. Ribbentrop also began to dislike many of his fellow Nazis as his career stagnated while they grew stronger.

Formation of Burgundy

As the West Russian War escalated and Heinrich Himmler began his coup, Ribbentrop in his vanity, would make perhaps the biggest mistake of his life, siding with the Schutzstaffel Rebellion. The partition of France and creation of the SS State of Burgundy would follow and Ribbentrop would become the foreign minister of the Ordensstaat. Burgundy however, has no formal foreign relations and what contact with foreign forces the state does engage in is handled mostly by its intelligence service rather than the foreign ministry thus reducing Ribbentrop's role to a ceremonial one. The effects of living in Burgundy with no career prospects in a ceremonial job have aged the minister beyond his years.

In-game

When Burgundy invades the French State after the German Civil War erupts, Ribbentrop will send a letter to Himmler condemning the invasion, causing Himmler to eliminate him and promote Walter Schellenberg to his position.
