This is my favorite hotel on all of planet earth! I have been staying here every summer since opening. I was very sad when they underwent renovations and were closed for quite some time. The front desk and breakfast employees are amazing and the friendliest ever! It is extremely clean and the beach is breathtaking!

My family and I had a 4-night stay here that we completed a few days ago, and considering all of the changes that hotels are currently going thru, it was a good stay. Having said that, we still noticed a few things that need some attention. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Like at so many other hotels in the country at this time, there was no housekeeping during our stay. We were prepared for this however, and had plenty of wipes to keep things clean, and also emptied out our garbage cans if they got full. The room (all rooms) had a great Gulf view, a balcony, microwave, mini fridge, and pretty much everything else we needed for our stay. The grounds were well-kept, and I always saw a staff member walking around wiping down highly-used/touched areas. The location was great too by being on a quiet stretch of beach. Even on the busiest day that we were there (4th of July), the beach in front of the hotel was not crowded and there was plenty of space for every group to spread out. Now, for the few complaints. While I understand that it's taken some getting used to the new norm that we're all living in, if you're going to have signs up claiming that masks are required inside the hotel, I would expect staff to enforce this policy by reminding guests that choose to walk around without one on. I would say that over 80% of guests wore their masks whenever I encountered them, but there were always a few that didn't. And even when they did so in front of a staff member, nothing was said to them. This seemed to be a common theme at several businesses in the area, however. So if you're planning on visiting the area during the ongoing pandemic, and this is of importance to you, just be aware. Overall, it was a good stay. My family and I enjoyed ourselves and spent several hours on the beach each day. The location is perfect for a beach getaway (away from big crowds.) We would definitely come back, especially once things can go back to the way they were and the hotel can offer all of their usual services.…

I stayed here the last two nights and everything was better than I expected. The hotel smells and looks new since it was renovated not long ago. Chelsea at the front desk was very charming and helpful. The rest of the staff, and there a lot more than I would have thought, were also great and friendly. I was upgraded to a suite on the top floor since I am an IHG member. It is a large suite with a private balcony accessed from both the bedroom and living room.nn The balcony is clean and there are three comfortable chairs on it to watch the waves roll in. There is a nice wooden walkway to the beach which has some great white sand. Breakfast has about everything one would want and a very nice lady running it. The hours are long from 6:30 to 10:00 and that is great. My room had a huge bathroom with a large shower and there is a second bathroom in the living room area with a shower tub. All of the rooms facde the ocean-wonderful. There is a safe that lifts up to open-a great concept. The closet was very large as well. There were TV's in both rooms as well. It had a kitchen with plates and utensils and it was very clean and neat. There was plenty of parking out in front and it is in a fairly remote area so traffic is calm. I intend to return as soon as possible and bring my wife who will love it.…

This is a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location with a very good staff. The hotel is older, but due to renovations you would never know it. It comes across as very modern and extremely well maintained. Everything worked well in and outside the room. And BIG kudos to them for making a decent attempt at breakfast. Although very minimal, in Covid times it is better than most other hotels offering a water, granola bar, and maybe a piece of fruit (pathetic)! Beach access is perfect! Almost a flawless stay, save for one comment and one complaint... Comment: while sitting, the balcony view is badly blocked by the walled-in design. Not anything really they can do about that, but we didn't care for it. Complaint: this will not bother the majority of guests, but for me it was VERY irritating. They are using a generic TV control which does not allow you to see the guide! And since I always like to watch something for 1-2 hours before sleep, without access to the guide it can take 20-30 minutes to just sift your way through all the channels while battling with commercials! OMG!!! I hated that so much that I dropped the rating to 4 bubbles on what would have been a 5 bubble rating for sure. I've seen those controls in other IHG properties, and they REALLY need to stop using them. I realize most people won't care, but for those who do, now you know! We loved our stay at the Holiday Inn express at Pensacola Beach. All the rooms have an ocean view which was excellent. I love the balcony and waking up to the sun rising. The rooms were nice and modern. The breakfast was excellent serving eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, pancakes and all the other regular breakfast stuff. It was fresh and tasted good. The staff there was really great and attentive. All the furniture is new. We heard that hotel was only open for a couple months before hurricane Sally. They had extensive water damage and had to replace a lot of stuff. The pool was nice but probably better for a younger kids as it had a beach access and wasn’t very big so there wasn’t much of a deep end for swimming. Also it borders the parking lot on one side but that’s part of the beach on the other. Great beach access. I would highly recommend.…

We really enjoyed our four night stay here over Labor Day weekend. The staff was super friendly, and we loved the location right on the beach. All rooms are facing the gulf, and have a balcony with chairs, so you have an amazing view no matter where your room is. Everything was clean, and the room was spacious. Our king size bed was very comfortable. The staff all wore masks, as did the majority of the guests. Next time we vacation in the Pensacola area, we will definitely stay here.

We spent six days at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel itself is really nice. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and our fifth floor room was well maintained and had a great waterfront view. Their breakfast buffet had good variety and was well stocked. We didn't use the outdoor pool ourselves, and it looked a little unenticing to us - not much shade or landscaping. It was just a pool. The beach is kind of narrow in front of the hotel and dunes, but it wasn't crowded. A nice white, sandy beach, great to wade or swim in. Chairs and umbrellas are available to rent for $50/day from a third party vendor - expensive but convenient. Our biggest issue was the distance from the central Pensacola Beach "boardwalk" area since we didn't have a car. On the plus side, the hotel and beach are pretty relaxed and quiet. On the down side, there's no restaurant at the hotel, and pretty much any restaurants or shops are at least half a mile away. Not that far, but not a fun walk in the Florida heat and humidity. There's a free Pensacola Beach trolley in the evenings, but we found the "trolley tracker" information to be very unreliable, so we rarely used it. Golf cart rides for tips and Uber/Lyft were our other options, but we mostly walked. If you don't plan to have a car during your stay, I'd recommend staying at a hotel closer to the boardwalk.…

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times in 3 years. It is on the beach and all rooms have balconies that look over the beach. This hotel is always clean and well maintained. However the staff make this place even better. The kitchen ladies are just super. Friendly, keep everything full, wiped up, take your empty dishes. Before we even checked in one brought us hot chocolate chip cookies The breakfast buffet always has a nice selection of egg dishes, meats, biscuits, gravy, pancakes and other things. My one complaint has been continuous since staying there. The bathrooms have issues not from a cleanliness view but three areas. The first is that the exhaust fan runs like a jet engine whenever you turn the lights on. The second is that from a seniors view the tub bottom is slick. There is no coating or rubber mat to prevent slipping. The third is that the grab or safety bar is at the end of the tub away from the shower head not located in the middle area of tub. Most people I know, myself included do not stand at the end of the tub to shower. So nice place to stay, friendly, great staff just watch the bathroom…

Pensacola Beach has become our favorite getaway destination. We have stayed at multiple hotels but this is hands down our first choice. We've stayed here before, are back again and have enjoyed 9 nights, and, if we have the opportunity, will be back! The facility is modern, clean, and laid out perfectly for a great stay. Each room faces the beach and beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Right on the beach, we had the choice of enjoying the beach or hanging out poolside. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach and can be charged to the room. Towels, chairs and everything needed are available poolside. Bicycles are now available for rent right here on property for those who might desire another fun activity. Breakfast was hot and great. Plenty of choices. Menu varied on different days. We are gluten free and there were plenty of options. Of all of the amazing and enjoyable features, the best by far was the staff. Helpful, personable, professional, they went the extra mile to make sure guests were served well and had a great time. Cudos to Jason and crew! Thanks for an incredible experience! Cannot express how much I enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn express. The location is right on the beautiful Pensacola Beach. The staff was very friendly. Chelsey at the front desk was super sweet. Complimentary breakfast was decent. There is an exercise room, an outdoor heated pool and you are steps away from a stunning beach. The room was comfortable. All rooms face the beach. The hotel has 2 large empty lots on each side so it feels very secluded and quiet. Very few people were on the beach in front of the hotel. Its a 10-15 minute walk to get to restaurants. That walk can be on the beach. I absolutely loved our stay and felt the price was very reasonable. Like I said all rooms face the beach and ours had a nice balcony. Place was clean and seemed fairly new. Parking was plentiful and free as well. I would come back to this Holiday Inn Express again and again. Not sure what makes it an Express hotel it had all the amenities I could ask for.…
