Siu Hang Tsuen is the final stop (12) along the Lung Yeuk Heritage Trail. It is located a few minutes walk north of San Wai (stop 11). This is where you end the self-guided walk through Fanling's historic Tang Clan walled villages.

Historically, Siu Hang Tsuen has a history of around 200 years. It was founded by those the village of Lo Wai, who relocated here to start a new village, which it seems only grew to around the size of 10 households. Lacking size and protection of its larger and older cousin villages to the south, it was regularly victim of bandit harassment, leading to the new village being abandoned after just a few generations. The area has since been populated and is now built up with modern households.

What you can see at Siu Hang Tsuen today is a fairly recent archway built at the eastern entrance to the village around 1960. It was positioned in a manner to generate positive feng shui. There is also a small shrine just next to the archway called Fuk Tak Tsz. It is dedicated to the Earth God who provides protection to the village.

Note: There is no information panel posted near the Siu Hang Tsuen archway or shrine. However, there is historic account found in the Rear Hall of the Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall (stop 6). There you will find panels with the history of each of the heritage attractions along the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail.

Note: If you are finishing the Lung Yeuk Heritage Trail at Siu Hang Tsuen, you can catch the light green mini-bus (56K) directly to the Fanling MTR Station from this location. The bus frequency is every 15 minutes and the ride to the station is around 10 minutes long.

Siu Hang Tsuen is a historic village in Fanling and part of the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail. It is either the first or the last place you visit depending on which direction you take to see the various heritage attractions.

This is a 200 year old village founded by members of the Tang Clan originally from Lo Wai, another Historical village that makes up the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage walking trail.

In all fairness, the village is disappointing as a heritage attraction. Little remaining in the form of historical structures or landmarks beyond a single arched entrance 20 metres past the parking area in front of the village and this only dates back to the 1960s. There is a traditional shrine room next to the entrance. Otherwise what you see is your garden variety of more recently built village homes.

Because visitors will likely take the light gren bus (54K) between Siu Hang Tsuen between this heritage village and the Fanling MTR Station either at the beginning or end of their walking tour, you might as well have a quick look.

This is where the bus stop is located for those starting the heritage tour. You can also get on the bus from here to return to the MTR Station if this is the final stop on the trail.
