They lived in Schuyler until 1979 when they moved to Leigh.  Mike had worked for Lonnie's Trailer Sales, JMJ Feed Mill, and drove truck for Bob Glodowski, McMullin Transfer of Leigh, Lindsay Manufacturing, Affiliated Foods, and retired from FCC in Fremont.  He owned his own truck and leased to these companies.  He was a member of New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson where he had served on the church council and maintenance committee.  After trucking, Mike helped at Wietfeld Trucking.  He loved being around people and staying busy.  He collected Allis Chalmers Tractors and enjoyed antique tractor pulls.

Mike is survived by his wife, Janet of Norfolk, two daughters, Chrissy (Mark) Kuchar, Madison, Jenny (Ryan) Koch of Omaha, a son, Nick Zabka and special friend Linda Riley of Gretna, siblings Robert (Pauline) Zabka of Swea City, Iowa, Tim (Jane) Zabka, Leigh, and Kay (Jim) Pofahl of Norfolk.  Also surviving are the grandchildren he loved so much, Lauren and Lilly Zabka, Alexis, Kylee, Wyatt and Samantha Kuchar,  Crosby and Camille Koch, and  mother-in-law Marcella Maca of Clarkson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Tammi Renee (1976) and father-in-law Joseph Maca.
