"АЛАН ПАРСОНС ПРОДЖЕКТ"

Английская рок-группа "Алан Парсонс Проджект"
("Проект Алана Парсонса") была создана в 1974
году. Этот ансамбль представляет собой заметное
явление в мире современной западной рок-музыки.
"Алан Парсонс Проджект" - прежде всего содру-
жетво двух интересно мыслящих людей - Алана
Парсонса, композитора, музыканта, звукорежис-
сера, певца и композитора Эрика Вульфсона. Группа
не имела постоянного состава, так как в отличие
от обыкновенных коммерческих рок-групп участники
её сначала создавали общий замысел альбома,
писали музыку и тексты, а уже потом, в расчёте
на конкретную музыку приглашали музыкантов и
исполнителей, число которых однажды превысило
двести человек.

Первый альбом ансамбля, названный "Таинствен-
ные и фантастические повести Здгара По", вышел
в 1976 году и получил в разных странах мира
многочисленные призы за звукорежиссерскую и
продюссерскую работу (следует отметить, что за
плечами Алана Парсонса была запись таких извест-
ных в истории рок-музыки грампластинок, как
"Монастырская дорога" ансамбля "Битлз" и "Об-
ратная сторона луны" группы "Пинк Флойд").
На данной грампластинке собраны наиболее
интересные музыкальные композиции, выпущенные
ансамблем "Алан Парсонс Проджект" на пластинках
"Таинственные и фантастические повести Эдгара
По" (1976), "Я - робот" (1977), "Пирамида" (1978),
"Ева" (1979), "Если повезёт в картах" (1980).
