    Clyde Barrow grave
Obviously, for someone from England, fascinated with Texan culture and history, a visit to Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrows' graves are essential. First on my itinerary was Clydes, and I must say how disappointed I was with the general state of the cemetery that looked unkempt and neglected. Clydes final resting place is well documented and minimal effort in finding it. Took some photos and chatted to some locals who told me "fans" from all over the world travel to see their graves. I got the impression they were proud of their "celebrity' interred Clyde Barrow. Great visit, great meeting some unique locals.........next, Bonnie Parker.

    Great afternoon!
I had an awesome time. Originally planned to pop in for 30 seconds to take photo of Clyde Barrow's grave, but I ran into Van (one of the caretakers). Amazing guy. Gave me whole rundown of the place, difference graves, families, etc. Lovely place, and will get lovelier now that they have huge beautification grant. Highly recommend, and look for Van!

Move over Clyde, Van’s the Man
We stopped in to see Clyde Barrow’s grave, but were pleasantly surprised to be greeted and welcomed by Van, the caretaker. Van made us feel like old friends and gave us the history and a very informative tour of the whole cemetery. This was such a pleasant and unexpected afternoon. You must go if you have a chance!

We walked through the gates and turned left toward the grave of Clyde and Buck Barrow. Right after we took some pictures a gentleman walked over and we started talking. Turns out he is Buddy Barrow, nephew of Clyde and Buck and he told us some cool stories of how his family dealt with having a couple of outlaws in their family. He also revealed a couple of upcoming events that he is behind that will be super cool if they come to fruition. I can't guarantee you will meet Clyde's nephew but go anyway and see history.

My great grandmother, grandmother and grandfather and 2 uncles are buried here. When I was a kid in the 1960's, we would go to the cemetary with my mom and work like any grown up. I can remember when there was no fence and the vegetation was so thick you could not see 10 feet into the cemetary. Our family cleaned it out completely and my mom and dad continued to care for it into their 70's. It was my mom and dad that got the marker from the state and had the fence put up. I remember stories of them finding drugs in mason jars and even once found a live chicken buried in a cardboard box. My dad even used to carry a little deringer in his back pocket when he was cleaning. This was back in the 80's though and the area is much safer now. This place was a big part of my childhood and I feel an important part of Dallas.

Western Heights Cemetery is located a sidewalk's width away from a very busy Fort Worth Avenue, in a section of Dallas that has clearly seen better days. Vandals have torn this cemetery apart, unfortunately, abusing it to the point of ripping out the headstones – which no one has bothered to replace. You would think that there would be a master diagram that could be used to right the wrongs.

As the previous reviewer stated, the cemetery is surrounded by a fence, with a padlocked gate, which is clearly meant to deter all but the most determined. During my visit several years ago, I found that someone had forced down a section of the fence, next to the arched entranceway, which allowed us to step over and into the cemetery. I then went in search of a beloved 2nd great-grandmother’s headstone. I was joined in my search by my then 75-year old mother – a victim of Alzheimer’s.

My 2nd great-grandmother’s headstone has been lost, or misplaced, and that saddens me greatly. I know where she was buried and the headstone is just not there. We also have a child of the family buried there and I like to think the grave marker in the picture that I have attached is for her.

I did see the Barrow Brothers’ headstone and have provided a close-up picture so that those who wish to see it won’t have to make a special trip. These infamous brothers rest beneath a flowering crape myrtle bush against a rusty fence; shade for the shady.

It is not necessary to enter the cemetery to see their headstone, because the grave lies in a corner of the cemetery a few steps up the side fence from Fort Worth Avenue. If you are facing the arched entrance to the cemetery, to the left against the side fence is the Barrow’s grave and to the far right is a gravel and grass-covered alley where I chose to park.

I am not all that concerned with rules, so you might consider an alternative parking spot. I agree with the previous poster; be wise and aware of your surroundings and make it a midday group adventure. Do not forget to slather your body with bug spray!

This is pretty cool. If you like outlaw history this is the place to visit. Pretty easy to find The Barrow Graves to. Just go under the chained gate and turn immediately to your left and go straight back. We have there 3xs and every time it's pretty cool.

Don't be discouraged about going to see this place - it is actually remarkably easy to get to and the neighborhood isn't that bad. Sure, it's not a place I'd probably be spending hours and hours, and definitely not a place I'd be spending anytime after dark, but in broad daylight - especially if you're with others - it's fine. We never felt unsafe at all - plus, going to see Clyde's grave takes all of about 10 minutes. The gate was locked at the front, so you have to hop over (but who goes that far and doesn't hop over?). Once you are on the inside of the gate, as others have said, turn exactly to your left and walk straight for two big crape myrtles, and there they are. The place isn't big, and they're right near the front - within 150 feet of the front gate. This is an interesting piece of history, and worth seeing if you're interested. Don't worry - go!

Clyde's grave. I had no idea what I would find when I set out on THIS adventure. Old dead grass--knee high in places, fences in disrepair--all in a neighborhood where I prayed for protection. Loved it. And there it is... Clyde Barrow's grave. It was obvious that many had paid homage before me--spent bullets, even whole bullets strewn on his final resting place. Now, let's go find Bonnie's grave--and I did!

Curiosity brought us here, having just visited Bonnie Parker's grave in Webb Chapel Cemetery. We knew where to go, but the gate had a lock on it and didn't feel comfortable entering with "No Trespassing" signs everywhere. Looks like the cemetery has not been maintained for many months, grass is overgrown. The neighborhood is pretty iffy, so definitely do not go there at night. Park in the business parking lot on the southwest corner of the cemetery (which was closed as well) and you'll see a grave site with flowers near it and that's Clyde's. Could only take a picture from outside the gate, so that was disappointing. I thought Texas law was public cemeteries should remain open from sunup to sundown?

We are history lovers and had to swing by here. The gate was open, so we went in. Easily found Clyde and Marvin (Buck) Barrows' graves. They are set up line a shrine. It was a bit interesting to see that people would want to honor outlaws. Nevertheless, interesting to confirm he is actually buried there. The graveyard itself is most fascinating because it is older and every stone is a story itself.
