I really enjoyed my time at Mater Dei. Graduating from Mater Dei really brought back lots of memories of all of the great experiences. Some of my favorite experiences is how the students and teachers all feel like a massive family. Everyone is extremely kind and generous and there is always someone able to help you out. This experience really highlighted my time there, making it extremely easy to stay focused. One thing I did not really like at Mater Dei is the strict policy of dress code. It was very strict making it a nuance and a burden. Although many of the students saw it as something bad, at the very end I was able to see how it helps build a state of profession in everyone. It help the concept of keeping everyone looking clean and professional. Overall, I loved my time at Mater Dei and would love to see more students attend this amazing High School.
I've absolutely loved my experience at Mater Dei. The school is known for it's incredibly competitive sports teams, and I was worried that I might not fit in because I don't play a sport. This is not the case at all! I'm involved in the school's choir program (which is actually the 2nd largest program on campus after football with around 300 students!). That program has been the best experience in the world, and I've found both my passion, my best friends, and how to be confident both on stage and just in general. The school has awesome teachers, and the only thing it's lacking could be more fun events (although this past year they've started creating more!). I was on the fence about Mater Dei because of it's competitiveness and size (I came from a very small middle school), but I can honestly say that it's been the best experience for me and I truly feel like I've grown as both a person and student during my time there.
Literally a mess, the school doesn't care much about how the students feel about their teachers (PHYSICS CLASS IS A NIGHTMARE TO ALL STUDENTS) and the school doesn't even want to change the teachers for better ones. It seems like the school spent too much money on sports and academics were left behind.
