Great workplace with wonderful colleagues and management
General Assistant (Former Employee) - Stockport, Greater Manchester - 5 January 2019
A typical day at Texas homecare was dealing with stock, customers and general housekeeping, I learnt about product knowledge which came in handy whenever a customer put you on the spot, the management were very friendly and appoachable, the workplace culture was good not a lot of backstabbing and bullying. The hardest part was lifting heavy items and dealing with awkward customers, but the most rewarding and enjoyable part of the job was dealing with customers and working with some supportiveand friendly colleagues.
Pros
Great bunch of people to work with
Cons
Long hours and travelling

Systems Administrator/Stock Control (Former Employee) - Hull - 30 September 2015
Stock control and price checking the store on an 8 week rota. I was trained on the in-house warehousing systems. Management were young but knew how to bring the teams together. Worked with people of all ages. Hardest part for me was knowing when to go home. So enjoyable that time just flew by. Most enjoyable part was the members of the public. It was a more friendly type of store than its much bigger rival, who because of its size, forgot about the shopping experience for the customer.
Pros
Staff Discount on items
Cons
The uniform, made me look like an air hostess

Stressful however very rewarding on completion of projects
GSM to Project and new Stores opening manager (Former Employee) - Nuneaton Coventry Corby Rugby Bedworth Hinkley - 14 March 2013
There was nothing typical about any day each presented its own challenges , problems and resolutions . the lessons learned were many and success was dependent on forward planning and adapting to changing situations , I always had great support from my management teams and staff the weakest links were the extra labour drafted in from temp agencies as they needed constant supervision . I had good a good support network up to and including company directors . The hardest part of the job were the weekends away from home and family The most enjoyable factors were the team spirit , the satisfaction when each section was completed , the smiles of all concerned when the doors were finally opened to the public on schedule and of course the bonus .
Pros
car and petrol allowance, accommodation when away from home
Cons
long hours and time away from family ( not affecting me now as single)
