From Tulane University

Since its founding in 1834, Tulane University has blazed trails as an educational and research institution. Its five undergraduate schools - Architecture, Business, Liberal Arts, Public Health, and Science & Engineering - push boundaries with exciting interdisciplinary academics that engage students in world-changing endeavors, all under the umbrella of Newcomb-Tulane Undergraduate College. This allows students to take classes in any school, regardless of major. As the first major research university to require service-learning in the core curriculum, Tulane forms an inseparable bond with New Orleans, extending the classroom into a dynamic and opportunity-rich urban environment where students have an outsized impact.

academic spotlight

With over 300 years of rich history, an emerging tech market, world class restaurants, music, and more, it's easy to stumble upon inspiration and opportunity down here. Our students cheer on the Saints at the Superdome, kayak down Bayou St. John, and volunteer in their community. It doesn't hurt New Orleans has over 150 festivals a year either.
