CHANDLER
Tim Chandler,loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather died peacefully in his sleep of a heart attack on Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
Born in Los Angeles, CA on June 25, 1960, his family moved to Sparks, NV in 1977 where Tim attended Reed High School. At 18, he joined the Army and served over seas in Germany.When he returned from the service he was employed in the Reno- Sparks area for several years and during that period he married and had a son ”Timmy” who is now 20 years old. In 2003, he married Dixie Lynn Hampel and they lived in California. They moved to Kentucky for two years and then returned to Reno and lived there until his passing. He'd started his own handyman and painting business and it thrived due to the quality of his work. He had a positive work ethic and enjoyed people and his customers loved and respected him.
Tim is survived by his wife, Dixie; son, Timmy Chandler; mother, Nancy Cook; sister, Debbie Chandler; brothers, Tom Chandler of Monrovia, CA, Chris Chandler of Rohnert Park, CA and Matt Chandler of Medford, OR; step-daughters, Jocolynne and Cristina; grandchildren, Blake (5 years old) and Haleigh Grace (3 weeks old) and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m., 8900 Double Diamond Parkway in Reno by Pastor Dawson Lange. Food will be served after the service by his church congregation.
Tim you will be missed by all of those that love you, family, friends and co-workers. Rest in Peace, Dear One.
