Hollywood heartthrob and Marvel star Chris Evans, best known for playing Captain America in the Marvel franchise, has reportedly gotten married to his partner of over one year, Alba Baptista.

Alba, 26, and Evans, 41, reportedly married over the past weekend, on September 9 and 10. The intimate wedding ceremony was marked by some famous guests' presence as well, including the likes of Jeremy Renner and Robert Downey Jr. According to various reports, power couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt also graced the happy occasion.

So, who is Alba Baptista? The Portuguese actor is best known for starring in the show The Warrior Nun, which was her English-language debut. Besides that, she has also featured in projects such as A Impostora, Filha da Lei, A Criaç£o, and Jogo Duplo.

As per Elle.com, Baptista is originally from Portugal and was born in Lisbon. She is said to be fluent in five languages, including Spanish, French, German, English, and her mother-tongue, Portuguese.

The news of them being in a relationship was first shared by Evans himself last year in November. At the time, a source was quoted as saying, "They are in love, and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”

Later, speaking to a publication, Chris had shared his feelings about the relationship and stated, "That's absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family."

“So it's also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. I had a lot of that in my life, so the idea of creating that—I can't think of anything better,” the actor was quoted as saying by Elle.com.

On the work front, Chris Evans will next be seen alongside Emily Blunt in Pain Hustlers. He also has Red One in the pipeline.
