The owner and the waiters have been very friendly, and I had a tasty happy hour with fishcakes & beer, staring at the sunset. - Roam35872329043Basingstoke, UK1 contributionNot surprised to see that Dom has top reviews. I have been very fortunate to have had a combination of 1:1 Pilates lessons and attend Pilates/Barre classes during my visit to the island during January and February.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dom. She has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. The lessons and classes were always well planned with adaptions where necessary. Great musical accompaniment and humour to boot!

- Will C20 contributionsWow. What great service. Tyler met us at the dinghy drop off point, collected our dirty stuff and returned our laundry the next day. Beautifully washed and folded. A very large holdall of bedding, towels and other stuff for a reasonable price. Tyler agreed a time to meet us to return the laundry. Both times absolutely on time. Excellent. - Patrick Y1 contributionFor starters, Stouteland Tours, is the best taxi/tour service in all of Barbados. Our driver, Jamar, was timely, courtesy and was with us every stop on our tour! He even took us to one of his favorite local spots for lunch where the souse and pudding was a five star treat. - Catherine CWellesley, MA92 contributionsFrom start to finish, our family surf lesson was a highlight of our Barbados vacation! So much so that we booked a second lesson before we left.
We booked with Paradise Surf School on the first day of our trip. Dane was our instructor and he exceeded all our expectations! He was so patient, skilled, and knowledgeable, making us feel safe and confident as myself (Mom of the family) and my 12 and 13 year old tried surfing for the first time.
The location selected by the school was perfect with gentle waves that were ideal for us beginners and HUGE bonus we saw several sea turtles as we took our lesson. Each of us we're standing up quickly, thanks to the instruction and assistance from Dane.
Not only did he teach us how to surf but also shared interesting details about the local marine life, Barbados and his amazing career as a professional surfer.
I highly recommend Paradise Surf School to anyone looking to learn how to surf in Barbados. They made our experience memorable and fun. We'll definitely be back for more lessons on our next trip. Thank you for such an amazing adventure!

The beach were we went was so lovely!! I would plan on renting chairs and staying a bit after and grabbing lunch at one of the food stands near.
Bring a TON of reef safe mineral sunscreen and don't be shy about putting it on. Especially the backs of your legs. Dane has rash guards but we had our own... but the more coverage the better!
